We bought just one "carving" pumpkin this year.

Saturday, while watching college football, we popped it open and dug out the insides. Then Paul got the seeds in the oven (bake for 15 minutes @ 350* with 1T olive oil, 1tsp garlic powder, 1tsp season salt, a few shakes of black pepper and cayenne pepper) and I covered 3/4 of the pumpkin in triangles. This ended up looking very "stained glass window" to me and I love it.

Happy autumn!

This is so simple, but I love how lovely it turned out.
And pumpkin seeds, one of the best parts of pumpkin carving!

best geometric pumpkin ever! what a great idea. i bought one pumpkin for our step and a handful of little gourds for an inside display but no jack o’ lantern pumpkin. i’ll have to stop and pick up a carving pumpkin on my way home… thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Elise! I was just wondering if you plan on taking us through any of the design process for your PL kit?
    Thankyou xxx

love the pumpkin. my son’s carved pumpkins and drew out their designs ahead of time. we were concerned by some of the thinner areas left of pumpkin (skin); they have already started to droop. hopefully yours will not!

That pumpkin is so pretty! I love the stained glass look. Normally the smell of the pumpkin “guts” prevents me from carving, but I might have to tough it out and make my own version of a stained glass pumpkin. Thank you for the creative inspiration!

when i saw the first few pictures i thought, “oh cool, triangles!” and then at the last one: “oh she carved EB for her name!” but when i read the text i think now maybe i’m just seeing things and the EB wasn’t intentional… still a cool pumpkin anyways!

loving the pop of color in your photos! autumn is my favorite season, so i’m loving all the decor that’s out there right now. how far apart did you make your cuts? i’m thinking too close together the pumpkin might collapse on itself.
