enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

Picture 1 It makes sense that just when we have to pack everything up for a few months I have ideas for new projects I want to start. Above is an in-progress one that hopefully I can keep working on through April and May while my craft supplies sit in storage somewhere between Maryland and San Diego.

I am making a digital book of our engagement. Something to document the last year other than this which I gave up on long ago.

The digital format is working out well and so far between my iCal, the blog, flickr and iPhoto, I have a pretty good idea of what has happened over the past 12 months in stories and photos. My mom has also kept a pretty good record which I am looking forward to reading through and adding dates and events.

Other projects :

  • I am anxious to get working on my 25 book. I've changed my mind and decided to stick with paper for this one and make a full size album.
  • Yesterday, after sunshine and warm weather I realized I want to make another summer book this year. Hopefully I can get another kit together by the end of May. Something different from last year but similar idea.
  • Last, I have a plan for a photo project with Paul. I have been looking through our photos together and aside from the engagement shoot it's just a lot of one arm outstretched photos. We've got a lot of years ahead of us and I would like some better photos. Jotting down a list of ideas for that.

By May/June when we actually settle in our new space I'll have these projects so mapped out it will be like deja vu putting them all together.

    hello 🙂
it’s my first visit here. beautiful blog!
have you decided if you’ll print your book yourself, or will you use something like blurb? i’m in a similar boat, with a year living abroad, which i normally would have liked to scrapbook but i think it would end up being an unfinished mountain of photos and papers 20 years from now.
i’m now off to browse the rest of your blog…
    have fun with your projects!
