enJOY it

IMG_1866 I have this theory that the better the invitation, the better the party.
The invite sets the tone. A good, well thought out, appealing
paper invitation is a BIG DEAL. Which is why I nearly called the Paper
Source
buyers and kissed them over the phone yesterday when orange and gray Snow & Graham paper arrived in the store. HOW DID THEY KNOW? How did Snow & Graham know? What a mystery. This is the paper I will use to line my invitation envelopes. Gray envelopes, orange POM POM paper. BRIGHT orange RSVP
envelopes
. I might not even have invites. Just send out envelopes.
People will be like, "Wow, I don't know what this is all about, but I
most definitely want to get on a plane to California and celebrate some
sort of orange and gray LOVE FEST." And by LOVE FEST they will mean
wedding.

*not to be confused with the neglected but soon-to-be-back-with-a-vengeance Wedding Wednesdays.

Those are so cool, very you! I totally agree – wedding invites are a big deal. My mum made all our wedding stationary and so many people commented on how excited it made them feel to get something handmade that gave a taster of our wedding. Beautiful!

I like gravel, but if the product is faded, the edges turn pink. I didn’t notice that all of my envelopes had pink edges until I walked out of the store. Bummer.

    totally magic.
YOu could just print the info on the envelope liner – that way people open up the whole envelope to read it- they get to keep that bit – eco-invitations anyone..LOL!

Don’t you just adore Snow & Graham paper??? It feels so… special, exotic, something. I have letterpressed cards from them and everytime I have to send a card I have this internal battle over whether that person is special enough or whether they get just a plain card. hehe I’m such a bad person, I know. 😀

I love this. I’m catching up on your wedding blog and love, love, loving this. I’ve wanted to work at Paper Source forever too… so reading through your blog is like reading through a dream. hehe.
