P: Well it is going on my list.
E: You said you didn’t want a list.
P: Oooh, I am making a list. And it is going right on top. Numero Uno. The only thing I have do before I turn 26, "Keep Elise from getting a pet."

ROFL! …b/c we’ve had quite a similar conversation almost nightly at my house for…hmmmm…about the last 10 years… with me playing the part of “E” and the lovely husband jeff assaying the role of “P”! uh huh. GOOD LUCK!!! (we’re still petless, too, btw!) 🙂

Not to sway anyone in one direction or another, but if you are keeping “pet” on your list, please consider thinking about an older animal rather than just a puppy. Many breeds, if you are looking for a specific breed, have rescue organizations and you can get a dog which is house broken, trained, spayed/neutered and has been in a foster care home where they can advise you as to their “quirks”.
