Gather the above items. Glue is probably the only thing you may need to buy. I use PVA because it dries super fast. And I am about as patient as a puppy.
Punch a circle out of a playing card.
Repeat six times. (If you figure out what to do with the remaining card pieces – please share.)
Fold each of the circles so the red design faces in.
Smear glue all over one side of a folded circle.
Attach glued side to another circle.
Repeat until you only have one circle NOT attached.
Tie a loop in the ribbon and lay it on the still open side of the circles.
Add glue to the open sides and attach the last folded circle.
Trim the other end of the ribbon and secure with a little knot.
This is a very easy process. It took me much longer to type up this post than it did to actually make the ornament. DO IT.
