We have been pretty busy these past few weeks and are now pretty tired and ready to be back home. Florida was good, good. So wonderful to catch up with the fam. I love that I laugh the hardest with (and at) my family. This past week was Paul's first long interaction with them. He did well. They did well.

And now it is back to a routine.

I am starting a new internship on Monday with a small PR firm in Maryland. Something different. It is part time and I will continue to work at Paper Source twice a week. Hopefully this year will give me a chance to try some new things and find a path I am interested in walking at least for a little while. I am blessed with opportunity.

Looking forward to getting the mail, hanging up my (seven!) 2009 calendars and hitting the gym.

I did not have to think very hard to come up with my word for 2009. Sweet. As in make it sweet. Live a sweet life. Sweet to me means good, balanced and celebration worthy. I would love for 2009 to be all of these sweet things.

My resolution for this year is to hold high standards. For my health and fitness. For my relationships. For my professional plans. Set goals and work towards them. Do not waste time. Sweet.

I just said ADIOS to a fantastic 2008 and ALOHA to a brand spankin' new 2009. In tow, I had a super cute boyfriend, two fabulous parents and oodles of cool drinks and cheap prosecco. What a cool/odd way to bring in the New Year.

2008 – thank you for coming. Thank you for being. Thank you for laughter and love and GOOD.

2009 – make it good. Bring it on. Do your best. Let's roll.

And while we're at it – ROSEBOWL!!! FIGHT ON USC.

Happy 2009 – thank you so much for reading.

Please meet my new Window Tapping Florida Feathered Friend.

At first I was like, "Oh wow! A bird! A red bird! How cool!" And now I am like, "Dude, if you put on a pair of Mickey ears and tap danced I would still want to kill you."

One of my favorite gifts this Christmas was this little book: Dream Big. This quote is just perfect – as I have no idea what or where "A" and "B" are for me right now.

    Have a fantastic week.

  • Nycmosaic New York is so very big. So very spectacular.

I had a very Merry Christmas – and I hope you did too. I am so excited about this new year and looking forward to returning to regular scheduled blogging and normal life then.

  • I am dropping in to say I think posting may be a bit sporadic over the next week or so. I am working today and tomorrow and then Paul and I are headed up to New York with his family. We will be back home for a few days before heading down to Florida to meet up with my family for a week and ring in the 2009.

    Celebrate the season.

  • 1220 Thank you, Blogland, for the sweet words. I am up and running again. Sorry for that.

Tomorrow is the shortest day of the year which is spectacular because it means all the days following until June 21st will start to get longer. Hooray! I love longer days.

I also love the holiday cards that are coming in the mail. And that we just got new printer ink. And that I have three rolls of film to bring up to NYC.

Feeling much better already. And if this day goes as planned, I will be back with a cool (or what in my head seems cool) project this afternoon.

AND, for the Font Fans : The block front from above is Century Gothic which comes standard on most computers. The script is Susie's Hand.

  • Oofta. What a week. I wish I could say I am busy doing cool projects or at least doing SOMETHING – but instead I am drifting on a case of the Blahs. Not to be confused with the Blaha's.

Paul is charting a course through his final year of rotations for Fall 09 – Spring 2010. This means we are coming up with all sorts of plans for where and how we are going to live together and apart for the upcoming year. And as exciting as that is, I am just a little bit overwhelmed. And a lot anxious to pull the covers over my head.

The thing about all the planning makes me think I should be doing some sort of planning of my own. As in, what am I going to do with my life? Do I even know that I want to do? Too many of these thoughts are sure to send the Blahs right at you.

Happy weekend – I need to shake this off and enjoy Christmas.
