enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

feeling almost sad to have the baby quilt finished and…

wondering what my next project will be.

officially doing business as Elise Joy, Inc. (what?!)

spending a lot of time on the phone with my accountant. 😉

finally seeing Intersteller (it was pretty good!)

looking forward to being done with Whole30.

joining Ali for Week in the Life later this month.

starting all our mornings at the park.

finding this article about the earthquake that could devastate the PNW horrifying.

putting the finishing touches on the 2016 GTWB pre-order launch.

eating all the figs I can find at Trader Joe's.

nesting by setting up all our household products to come through the Amazon Subscribe and Save program (you mean I might never run out of bar soap again?)

finishing Everything I Never Told You.

and getting into Where They Found Her.

walking 30-45 minutes a night and cherishing that time.

hoping all the extra physical activity this pregnancy has reduced my chance at having GDM again.

ordering this sweet tee for Ellerie to wear when "baby seester" arrives.

marveling that this year has been insane so far and we're barely halfway through it.

And interested to read a possible elaboration on why you’re looking forward to being done with Whole30.

That article on the earthquakes was fascinating and absolutely terrifying. I appreciate that it’s painted as a “worst case scenario”, but what a scary thought! I grew up outside of Vancouver and we had earthquake drills more frequently than fire drills in school!

Totally on board the Amazon train… we use Prime for an awkwardly wide range of food staples and household goods – mosquito nets, canned tomatoes, whole wheat flour, etc. It’s the best. Enjoy your nesting and congrats on the Inc!

Did you set up a timer on your camera with the sewing photo? Curious how you got both hands in a photo.

I’m on a modified Whole 30. It’s freaking HARD!!! And, I already eat rather healthy. I find it difficult specifically b/c I don’t eat meat and I really do not like eggs. However, I’m noticing that i’m feeling a LOT more energetic.

Do you use the Prime Pantry, as well? I am a Prime member but I’m kind of confused by all the different options, now. Subscribe and save? Prime Pantry? hmmph.

I’m due around the time you are, a bit earlier now with a due date change and I just found out I have GD for the first time (my fourth pregnancy). It was very comforting to read back through your old posts about it. We were due at the same time then too!! I’m digging into more regular exercise now with hopes it will help. Haven’t met with the Diabetes Educator yet, so when we get back from vacation, that will happen and I’ll be pricking my finger a few times a day likely!! Ho boy. I can do this….right??!!

I’ll post about it for sure. Overall I just think my food mentality is better when it’s “everything in moderation” 😉 food is fun! donuts are fun! making pizza is fun! I miss it. 🙂

you can totally do it! Yes, exercise (just a short walk) after meals really helped me keep my sugars in check! I’m so interested to see if I have it this time. should know in just a few days!! good luck, mama!

No, we just order stuff when we’ve realized we’ve run out and are too lazy to walk to the grocery store two blocks away… I’ll have to look into those!

I love Subscribe + Save!! I’m using it even more now that we live further from Target and it’s sometimes tough to wrangle 4 munchkins for a shopping expedition 😉 I’m always looking around on Amazon to see what else I can add to my order…it’s fun + kind of addicting, trying to find items that stagger just right for the extra 15% off of 5 products!
Congrats on all the marvelous adventures in 2015 xoxo

Be careful of those figs at Trader Joe’s. At a music festival two groups of my friends had bought those figs and one person in each of those groups bit into one full of ants. Ew!
