Do you have a George Forman countertop grill? I put coconut oil on my bread for grilled ham and cheese then slap the whole sandwich on til it is toasted brown. So good, just like a panini. (I shouldn’t be hungry for one for breakfast, but now I am.)

I love these posts. It’s so fun to see the comparison of Mama and Baby. LOVE The Jolly Postman. It was one of my favorites growing up.
Also…slightly unrelated, but I wanted to thank you. Because of your Dear Ellerie posts, I started doing a write up every month for my youngest. His first year is better documented than my eldest two. I’m sad that I didn’t start with them, but so happy I have those posts to look back on.

Oooh, great pattern on that dress! Reminds me a bit of that weaving you created.

I love these posts. I’ve been browsing the archives and found a video dated 7/31/11 (we made a video). It was super cute and I think it would be awesome to make a video now that little “e” is here. I’m now have on repeat Magic by Rabbit. Have a wonderful week.

I have to be careful with the Forman grill or ALL my cheese melts and runs off! I must get distracted too easily. 🙂

How fantastic is the Jolly Postman?
I have been looking at it at the book shop. Trying to hold out till birthday in July.
But I don’t think I’m going to make it.

The Jolly Postman! We have just been reading it, as well as the Christmas version. I think you’d love Peek-a-boo by the same author & illustrator, it has so many beautiful, interesting details of wartime Britain in it, and my children love to play i-spy within its pages, despite being a little old for it now in some ways (4 & 5). Have a look at the ‘look inside’ thing on amazon, it’s just so lovely!

ahh the jolly postman!!! best book ever!!! I loved that book as a kid, I think it was all the pockets and things I could do & take out. That just goes to show you how awesome it was, because I still remember it some 20+ year later 🙂

Jolly postman – favourite childhood, actually – just any, book. Just beaten into second by the Very Hungry Caterpiller Or The Tiger that came to tea – my mum still knows the words for these off by heart 23 years later!
