four things you thought were true about time management.

what fun glasses.

"You have found your X. You are here. Let yourself be here, and let the Y be there. Now, get to work." – nailed it, Erin.

pretty cards.

super long, but great article about the science of naming new products.

Yes, these were my clothing styles in 1969, the year I graduated from high school and began college. Brings back memories.

That was a good post on motherhood. The part that I especially identify with is when she said “Then she grows up a little more, and you realize that merely keeping her alive isn’t enough anymore. You also have to actually parent her. You have to teach her not to hit when she’s angry. You have to teach her to be kind to others and share her toys.” I comment on that to my husband and others. In some ways, having a newborn/infant is easier because it IS just about keeping them alive/healthy. For me, the disciplining part of parenting is harder because it’s one of those things where I know what I SHOULD be doing, but that’s not always the easiest path. I’m glad to have my husband with me in this whole thing because we are overall in agreement about how to parenting, but in the execution of it, his approach complements mine.

I was a high school student in 1969, in a school just a few miles from where most of these photos were taken. Except for the many photos of the (same) girl in fringy leather (obviously a model shoot), it looked very familiar. They lost considerable credibility, though, with the copy they wrote–it was cringe worthy! “Hippie” fashion? Not so much, as anyone who experienced the 60s in California will recognize. At least the clothes were right.
