the 30th knit blanket

Last year, while I was knitting my 29 blankets, I knitted one extra (I think it was number 19). I didn't have enough of two yarns colors at the house and I was wanting to knit so I just started adding scrap yarn together. Of course, then I ran out of scrap yarn and had to go buy more to actually finish this blanket.

Originally, I thought I'd sell it as one of the 29 but then realized that would be so random. 28 striped blankets and then this one! This random one! #odd.

So I kept it aside and powered through the remaining blankets. And then sold them in November.

This one is still special to me though. I love the look. I love the warm color palette. I love the crazy changing yarns.

Like all the blankets, this was knit with simple back-and-forth garter stitch on size 15 needles. (I did 60 stitches per row if you want to make your own.)

    Love the blanket, and all of the blankets you made. I would love to make my own, so thanks for the tips above on needle size and number of stiches. What type of yarn did you use?     What a great blanket! I honestly don’t remember how long I’ve been reading your blog. I think you were living in Maryland at the time.     Wow! Beautiful blanket! My favorite post from last year was all of the Dear, Ellerie posts! I love them. And honestly, you kind of lost me for a while with the business posts (not that I mind- it’s your blog…if I am not interested, I just skip the post), but the Dear, Ellerie posts always made me so happy! Super cool concept that you’ll love for years.
    As for how long I have been reading…maybe since you and Paul became engaged? I can’t remember exactly. I’ve always loved your project posts so much, though! Hope 2015 is great for you!

    What a lovely blanket! Your checkerboard knit blanket inspired me to add ‘knit a blanket’ to my list of goals this year. I don’t know if I can choose a favourite post!     Love this knit! Such a good story! I’d love it! My first blog post that I ever read of yours was the day your MacBook was stolen out of the bug.. I remember you had gone to yoga that morning and had a great relaxing day, and then bam, great day ruined by that.. I was hooked and have read daily since. I can’t remember what year that was..     I love the look of the blanket. We keep several blankets and throws on the edge of our couch so we can always be snuggle ready. I’ve been reading your blog for around 2 years now.
