2014giftguide

Last year I shared my first ever gift guide, which was really just a round-up of things we have and love (and therefore would totally be excited to give the special people in our lives). I decided to do something similar this year with a slightly different shopping list. Hope you enjoy!

for the hostess…wooden candle holders.

for the rad sister-in-law…a super fancy candle.

for the cool brother…a gorillapod camera tripod.

for the active kiddo…a giraffe walker.

for the coffee drinker…a cold brew coffee maker (and a link to this post).

for the goal motivated mover…a fitbit flex.

for the best friend…minnetonka kilty mocosins.

for the sweet nanny…a vinyasa scarf.

for the constant traveler…the O.G. bag.

for the busy cook…a cuisinart crockpot.

for the family…Dinner: A Love Story.

for the cocktail lover…a set of copper mugs.

for the penpal…a happy mail subscription.

please note … links may be affiliate but, as always, opinions are 100% my own.

Great list. I’m in love with candles lately, even though I can’t burn them at my apartment (darn student housing). I can’t wait to have my own grown-up apartment.

I actually OFTEN get my rad sister-in-law a Diptyque candle. Truly!! I can attest that rad sisters-in-law love them!

Hi Elise! Would you consider doing a tutorial on how you put together that awesome collage with photos and text? I’m a blogger and I’d really love to put one together, but I don’t know where to start. Do you use PS?

Hey Jennie – she has one here: http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/creating-a-collage-in-pse.html
I had the same question, but knew I had bookmarked it at some point… 🙂

Awesome list! I JUST ordered the Lo & Sons OG bag last night as a gift for myself! I can’t wait to get it!! I’ve been dying to try the cold brew coffee maker after your original post a few months ago, but may wait until warmer weather (I’m in CT, so I’ll be needing hot drinks for the foreseeable future!). Fun post! 🙂

Awesome list! I kept looking at the images and going “Oooh! This is perfect for this person” and then reading the description under the image and realizing that yeah, that actually describes them pretty well.

As much as I love much of what is on your list, I am buying from local artisans and items made in the USA. Most of the items on your list are not even made in the USA. Sorry but, I think it’s time we rethink this retail thing and support locally first, regionally second, and nationally third. ONLY when something is not available made in the USA will I resort to purchasing from foreign lands….and then, again, I prefer to support the small independents and co-ops.
