Taking off early for the holiday weekend. Cheers!

As part of my word WHOLE this year, I want celebrate the work of others by sharing links to my friends, possible friends and complete strangers who are doing great things on the Internet. This is some of the rad stuff I recently saw online…

work in progress…literally.

7 things you should never say while brainstorming.

5 creative toddler activities.

and here's a set of window crayons if you're as excited as I was to try them out.

when a small idea goes big (wow!).

prettiest bookshelves I have ever seen.

gorgeous floral paintings.

hot new careers for creatives.

love this california tee.

very inspiring (and gorgeously photographed) post about…mac & cheese.

yep, totally obsessed with the capsule wardrobe concept. (Thanks Kelsey!)

congrats to Elsie & Emma on their book launch this week!

such a fun print.

i love all the mac & cheese ideas! my toddler is not too fond of veggies & so i take annie’s mac & cheese, mix it with pureed squash or carrots (he won’t eat it if he sees the veggies..ha!) and then scoop it into a mini muffin tin, top with cheese & bake until it’s melted & crispy on top. he loves them! i make a whole bunch & warm in the toaster oven as needed.

I am all over that capsule wardrobe this weekend – sooo sick of the messy closet.
On another note, did you keep your daughter’s books organized by color? I agree those bookshelves are gorgeous, but every time I see a picture like that, my only thought is, “That person is a designer, NOT a reader…” I tried it with the cookbooks and almost lost my mind. Looked gorgeous, but I found myself staring at it for ages when trying to find a specific book. NO way would I do it with my ‘real’ books!

Launching my capsule on the 1st of September. I have been following un-fancy.com all summer and am totally excited to get started. It has been awesome to revamp my approach to fashion.

Loved the Fast Company article about brainstorming. I had to laugh because I had a creative director who said a few of those things! No wonder the sessions didn’t go well.
    Happy weekending!

I love a capsule wardrobe! I started my “minimalist wardrobe” (which is what I prefer to call mine) this season and will be posting my new fall wardrobe next week! I’ve already shared some awesome tips on getting rid of old clothes to make way for a minimalist wardrobe here: http://www.welcomehometaylor.com/welcome_home/2014/08/cleaning-out-your-closet.html

Elise, I am enjoying your weekend links like crazy. Always some great nuggets in there. You are the reason I know about Orange & Park. I bought that same print you have I liked it soo much. That tee! Added to wish/want list. And the wardrobe capsule. Love her IG. Thank you thank you for all you share. Have a fab weekend.

i love your roundups! The capsule outfits are interesting… this is something I really should do…. i do a lot in the public where I’m photographed, so my clothing ‘wears out’ from that stand point and I have to get new ‘work’ pieces.. about a year ago i slimmed it down some.. but it’s time again! I really enjoy your writing and I’ve listened to a few of your podcasts.. they are fun! I host a weekly Radio show, and can remember the first few months… been at it 5 years now!

    Thanks for sharing these links!
I just went through my closet and threw out so much stuff that I never wear! I was totally ruthless. My plan was to just work with what I have left and add a few pieces here and there as I go. I think I may try the capsule wardrobe.
