Weekend27

As part of my word WHOLE this year, I want celebrate the work of others by sharing links to my friends, possible friends and complete strangers who are doing great things on the Internet. This is some of the rad stuff I recently saw online…

for some reason, this super short wedding video made me want to cry (in a good way!).

photo & type perfection.

THIS is why that Beyonce quote drives me crazy.

a cute dress.

I have been using C1 on the VSCO photo app too and LOVED this post from Elsie about getting brighter and sharper iPhone photos.

looking forward to seeing this movie.

loved hearing about this 50 dates in 50 states adventure at WDS.

re-discovered this song and am listening on repeat.

congrats to Kal on the launch of her print shop!

I'll be chiming in via google hangout on this free CreativeLive class "from App to Archive" on Wednesday between 3-4pm PST.

SO many good links this week. I cannot wait for Wild. Have you seen the trailers for Wish I Was Here and Boyhood? I want to see both of those, too. Wish I Was Here is a follow-up to Garden State and stars Zach Braff, so it’s automatically brilliant.

I totally agree with you about that Beyonce quote. I had read that article before I had even seen the popular quote and completely makes since. She doesn’t have to take 3 hours out of her week to do laundry, like I do when I so would rather be blogging or vlogging.
I already RSVPed for the Creative Live Class, too! Looks like it will be a great one.

I somehow missed the BeyoncΓ© quote, but that article is pretty great. I used to work with a guy who said BeyoncΓ© is the worst thing to happen to women since men. The more I think about BeyoncΓ©, the more I agree with his statement.

I guess because I am not a Beyonce fan, the quote already pushed my buttons but that article helps articulate my feelings. Not to mention, Comparison stealing joy and al that.
And, dude, Kal? So. freaking. cool.

I laughed, because the first time I saw that Beyonce quote I thought ‘eh? Bollocks! Does she spend 12 hours a day commuting to and doing a boring office job? Does she clean her own house, wash her own clothes and do her own supermarket shops?’. Celebrities (particularly very rich celebrities) giving advice to us normal people about how to run our lives, or being used as examples for normal people on how to run their lives, is nonsensical.
