Ellerie : "oh man. Tough call. But I think it was June 9, 2014… the day she organized my books in rainbow order."

LOL, not crazy at all.
My boys’ answer: “Um, probably when she started teaching me how to de-clutter my preschool drawers from the age of three….”

Better than alphabetical order! That would be really crazy. I have all of our DVD’s organized in alphabetical order and my friends think I am nutty.

I have to admit that I expected this to happen a lot earlier, but figured that since she pulls all the books out frequently, you decided not to. 🙂 But I totally get it. When you’re in their room, not much to do, it can just happen. I may have done it myself a time or two.

You’re not alone! Years ago, a good friend of mine went to my closet to borrow a shirt and then had to tease me because I organize my closet by color.

I think about organizing my books by rainbow order at least once a day, but then decide to keep them by subject, author, etc. I have so many other things by rainbow order. rainbow order, sigh. 🙂

Our bookshelves are organized in rainbow order, as well, and I absolutely love how it looks! It’s like art. And surprisingly, I have no problem finding a book when I’m looking for a specific title. Love it.

If that’s what makes a person crazy, then get me to a mental institution! Rainbow-ordered books make it look sooooo much more neat!

All of our books that are displayed are color organized, and I am not 1. My hubby thinks I am crazy to fined gardening next to areonautical engineering, but he humors me.

We had our living room book shelf organized in rainbow order for a while! I like to switch it around and change how I organize. Right now, it’s not. Just randomly thrown together which is fun. But I’m sure I’ll want to change things up again soon!

I thought everyone did this?

Oof, I did this once with my huge Expedit bookshelf, and it took forever. It was pleasing for me while it lasted, though. (Just sifted through my archives for a photo, and wow was that a blast from the past, pre-baby):
