June1

I know. June 1st is not the start of summer if you want to get technical about it. But the thing about summer is "technical" goes out the window. I'm so happy we made it to June. June is when Ellerie turns one. June is when my tomatoes turn red. June is when the days turn the very longest they are going to get.

June is my magic month. Summer is my magic season. And as thrilled as I am that last summer brought me our baby girl, OH MY AM I THRILLED that one year later we are out of the newborn haze and into the tiny kiddo phase. I feel like last summer was about keeping my head above water.

This summer is about diving deep into life.

    Yes, summer. My period of renewal. I can relax and enjoy my kids and don’t have to rush them out of the house at 6:30am. I don’t have to help with homework with the 4th grader and otherwise make both of us miserable. We successfully navigated the first year of high school for my boys and got thru the seemingly never-ending transition. Plus my first year container gardening! Yes, love summer. Michelle t

    Yes! Diving into life is what it’s all about. I was hugely pregnant and had a one year old last summer. Now hi have an awesome toddler and a fun tiny child. So much better. I totally hear you, Elise! I love the long days.

    It’s funny in the Northern hemisphere seasons don’t change until the 21st.
    In Australia, Winter started on the 1st of June, so in my mind your summer should also start on the 1st of June.
    So Merry Summer Elise!!!! And have a fantastic June with your birthday bug.

    In my part of Australia (sunny Queensland) we have PERFECT weather! 24-26 degrees Celsius (sorry Elise, not sure what this is in Fahrenheit).
    Winter feels like spring and I am not complaining. I just hope my flowers that have also decided its Spring – make it through winter once it eventually gets here!
    Huge big congratulations to your upcoming one year family milestone Elise, Paul and Ellerie. You guys have been such an inspiration and put a smile on my face so many times over the past year – and as being a new mumma too, its been priceless. Thank you. xx
