HOORAY PODCAST!

This is good. After I launched on Wednesday, I went back myself and listened to the first and third episodes (I didn't listen to them originally because I didn't want to get cold feet) and afterwards I was like "Alright, excellent!" Feels good to sign my name to them. I love to write, and I always will, but talking is so much easier for me. Plus it adds the "human factor" which sometimes people forget about.

Huge thanks if you listened or helped to spread the word. (THIS IS SUPER COOL, BTW) I'll be taking your comments and suggestions for future episodes into consideration too so keep sharing them with me. Look for new episodes on Wednesdays. I have so many ideas and am scheduling interviews like it's my job.

Also this week, I made some progress on future MAKE29 editions. April is officially ready to launch and May has been designed and ordered. That feels really good. If you follow me on twitter you saw I'm considering dying 725 yards of fabric for a project this fall. I clearly have issues. Does anyone in Southern California dye fabric and want to collaborate with me? I'm not joking. Please email me.

(I feel like my spirit animal is a bouncy ball right now.)

Paul has this weekend off from work which is always cause for great fanfare, cronuts and celebration. I'm going to do us all a solid and take two days off too.

Have a good one and happy 33rd anniversary M&D!

Hi Elise! I really like the podcast so far. One thing that could be helpful to listeners is to have a show notes page for episodes, that way any sites mentioned in the interviews (like the blogs Sarah mentioned) could be linked to. Just an idea 😉
    Great work!

Completely unrelated to this post Elise, but the last little while when I visit your page every time I scroll down your content – be it in the middle of the post texts or on the sidebar (though usually on the side) there is a weird pop up that comes up. I think it’s related to your page alone since it doesn’t happen to any other pages, but it’s getting to the point where it comes up 2-3 times and I don’t even press anything. I don’t have the link for some reason I didn’t copy it properly the last time, but it looks like a video game of some sort – just in case you want to look into it if nobody else has mentioned it to you yet.

    Hi Elise!
I listen to your podcast because I love your blog, especially the crafty/photography side of things. I don’t have a blog or anything of my own and probably never will, so the episodes about blogging probably won’t apply much to me, but it’s really cool to hear your voice after reading your words for so long. I also wanted to say that your second episode about college was really encouraging to me. I am a college student, and I am completely overwhelmed with trying to find summer internships (and a “real job”, eventually) and feeling a little bit like I will never “make it.” You reminded me that getting a fancy job is not the only way to have a happy future, and that it might not be the way that works out for me. Your honesty about how awful not getting a job felt at the time really helped too. Thanks for the encouragement and I look forward to more episodes!

Gah, Elise! I still don’t get how you get it all done. You are super woman/mom. Whenever I put my 9 month old down to play with his toys when I’m on the computer trying to edit photos or blog, he screams at me. Is Ellerie similar and if so, how do you cope?

Elise I have never done podcasts, but have started listening to your first episode in the morning while I’m getting ready for work. At this point in my life where it feels open and also unstructured, it’s nice to be able to listen to someone like you who has carved their own path successfully. You’re doing a fabulous job, keep it up!!

I seriously LOVED your podcasts! I’m a fan of podcasts, but I normally stick to This American Life and RadioLab so it was awesome hearing a very talented blogger talk about things that I can apply to my own life (personal, and blog). I really can’t wait to hear more!

And the blog design love e-course that you co-wrote was invaluable to me while I designed my own blog. I would love to know what you think of it, :).

Hooray for the podcast is right! I listened to all three episodes in a row while I was painting our house and I loved them! I wish you had ten episodes to listen to right now but I suppose I can be patient. I’m going to put it on my business goal list to be cool enough to be a guest on your show someday! 😉
