Ellerie had her first stomach bug this week and it was just awful for all three of us. I spent most of yesterday doing laundry and feeling nervous that it would return, but it seems like we're all clear. To celebrate we're signing off early and catching up on cuddles and sleep. This weekend, Paul has both Saturday and Sunday off which is rare and amazing. Three cheers for health & family time.

My daughter had her first stomach bug around the same age and it was horrible. I’d never seen such a tiny human throw-up, eventually dry-heave and look so helpless. It broke my heart and made me even more thankful for every healthy day we’re gifted with our children. I pray you’re all on the mend, resting well and snuggling today.

Oh how awful. We’re the same, if our daughter gets sick it’s like we are all suffering along with her. It’s just awful to watch them be unwell. Like someone said above, makes you very grateful that it only occurs every once in a while. Have a great weekend of recovery and OLYMPICS.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about dry heaving. Mine just pukes once or twice, passes the bug to us, and then is done lol. I could do w/o the sharing, personally.

Glad she’s on the mend. Stomach viruses are messy and nerve-wracking b/c you just never know when they’ll strike. I will never forget the time my 1 year old at the time got sick one night, did well the next day w/ no episodes and then got sick again the following day — never had that happen before or heard of it lol. Ellerie seems like a trooper though! Enjoy family time!

Happy to hear Ellerie is feeling better! I remember the first time my son threw up! He was three and I just stood there frozen, not knowing what to do and the look on his face! Ah parenthood! Enjoy your weekend together!

I swear by the homeopathic remedy nux vomica for this affliction. Its safe, gentle and works a treat to clear up sickness and tummy soreness. I use it when I have had a big meal to and just feel over full. I even give it to my dog and it always clears up his diarrhoea within 6 hours.
