I thought I heard that NBC will be streaming all Olympic events with the exception of the Opening Ceremonies. 😀 I love the Olympics! Do you have feelings on winter v. summer?

Not sure if you have a TV or gave that up, but we don’t have cable, just an HD antenna, which picks up the basic channels. Good luck!

2nd hand shopping can be addictive! We’ve furnished most our house this way, and couldn’t be happier.
We’re here in San Diego and this link is super helpful for choosing when to plant based on what climate/region of San Diego of you live. Hope it helps 🙂

We are in La Mesa and our Mohu Leaf antennae (from Amazon) picks up NBC perfectly. (Plus Fox, KUSI, PBS and some other random stations).

    Hi Elise,
I LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping second hand.
I am lucky enough to have relocated from boring Connecticut to now live in Boston where the national HQ of Goodwill is. “my” store has one of the highest volumes of sales so they constantly get tractor trailers full of clothes. SERIOUSLY!
It’s amazing…and great therapy. I grab a tea and browse for hours, especially on Saturdays when all the new racks are unloaded. I always find something great…often with tags still on. I just buy what I love and pack away for the next season. My favorite finds this past week were a cashmere long cardigan wrap for $4.99 and a new j. crew silk blouse. Again, $4.99. I’m kind of addicted!! And, it’s a huge part of my identity now. My friends are always shocked at what I find.
And, I love that the clothes are “off season” meaning I can find sundresses in January, sweaters in July.
I have lots of good “hunting” tips. Want me to share??

I think you’ll love the Greene’s planters! Our have faded to gray over the past year but other than that have held up well. Good luck with the garden!

that would be AMAZING! but I wonder if you have to have cable/tv to get it? we watch everything online (on our tv screen) without a tv connection.

fun! My addiction for now is pretty homewares focused (it helps that I can just look at a tiny portion of a store – so overwhelming!) but that is awesome. 🙂

You need a log-in from your cable provider to use ABC/NBC/CBS streaming. Ditto ABC family. I think some stuff will be available, but mostly you need a log-in. It’s really annoying.

I’m also addicted to second-hand shopping. As frustrating as it is to not find anything on some trips, it does help me chill out for a little bit.

We use an antenna and get all the basics except for NBC. Trying to figure out what we’ll do too! I know in Vegas no one gets NBC with an antenna but in Texas we did. No idea how it is in SD. Good luck!

Love all that you are doing and as a mommy of an amazing 20 year old daughter and just as amazing 10 year old son, the best times have been when I slowed down. So I’m glad you’re planning some slow time. The best conversations have been had with the back of my head in the car. They tell me everything in the car. It’s funny because I’ve always told them I do have eyes there too, but they sit in the back seat and spill their guts. Love our car talks.
I did want to check on my final stamp shop order 😦 I sent it right in under the wire but wanted to confirm.
Can’t wait to see what’s next.
