I've been using the Martha Stewart loom kit, but you can totally make one with nails and a piece of scrap wood. See more woven projects here and here.
I this is one of my favorites I have seen. I like that it’s original and not the “norm” weaving that appears on Pinterest all the time. You should put together a How-to DIY book of all the projects you’ve done. I bet it would be a hit!

I have been following your blog for quite some time. Love your blog and I admire the way you take on projects and complete them. I find the latter part a bit difficult 🙂 I have a twelve year old daughter who is interested in knitting and, I was wondering if the loom that you mentioned above would be good for her. She is a beginner.

I am currently trying to use up a bunch of old yarn by making a latch hook rug. But if I have a lot left over I will have to try this!

I don’t think I’ve woven anything since my 4th grade pot holder, but this sure makes me want to start. I need something to do with my hands while I watch TV 🙂

This is lovely! I know you’re using a kit, but I would definitely appreciate a little tutorial on DIY weaving… I am so interested in it but have no idea where to start really. Off to google search, haha.

Elise, just came upon your blog this week and am so inspired! Your creativity excites me and makes me feel motivated to create something, anything!
I always thought weaving took a giant loom, wow, so surprised at how small projects can be accomplished with your method. Do you recommend a certain book or site to get some basic weaving skills under one’s belt? I would appreciate any info.
