Special2

A tiled floor that says "you look good" has been making the rounds on Pinterest lately. It's rad and reminds me of a hotel we stayed at once in San Francisco that had the same message on the bathroom mirrors. I wish I could do that, I thought and then realized that I totally could in a much less permanent and inexpensive way.

Special1

Letter stickers on a mirror! So simple! So unoriginal! But also so easy and fun.

Special5

I used Kelly Purkey for Simon Stamp white letter stickers and wrote one of my favorite phrases that I repeat at least 15 times a day to Ellerie. I stuck it on the mirror of her room at her height. She can't read it (obviously) but I can and someday she'll get it.

Special4

This is seriously the easiest project ever. Three minutes, tops. The trick is figuring out what you want to say (and cleaning your mirror first – a step I clearly skipped).

See the first five minute project here and I promise I have not forgotten about this feature. I have just realized you can't go to the five minute projects. You have to wait for them to come to you.

I like to use dry erase markers to write messages to my husband or our girls on their mirrors. 🙂

Haha, Ellerie is looking at you in the first picture like “Mom’s got the camera again!” So sweet.

Very sweet! That you say it often to Ellerie reminds me of this quote from the movie, “The Help” ~ “You is kind. You is smart. You is important.”
Your letters are so straight! How did you manage that? I’ll have to try this on a mirror sometime : )

Very clever! Do the letters you used come off easily without leaving any gooey residue?

I didn’t try to peel them – worst case, I end up scrubbing with windex/goo-gone down the line. 🙂

this is an awesome idea! We have bathtub crayons that we use to write messages to each other on the mirror in our bathroom (and in one instance, on the bathtub wall before a long business trip!). I like the idea of making a semi-permanent mirror message!

a cute idea that would double as a height chart would be to measure her hight once in awhile against the mirror and mark it with another sticker phrase.

I love this! I sometimes use a dry or wet erase marker to leave a temporary message, but I like that this one can hang around past the first washing or longer!
