Those last two photos are a great visual representation of my brain right now… cluttered. But the Clear Out is coming. (If I was a Game of Thrones character that would totally be my family motto.) I can feel it and it's going to be a doozy. Super excited to get my office organized.

I got home from the wedding last weekend determined to relax a bit ("determined to relax"? that hardly sounds relaxing). I have made the executive decision that I am booked job-wise through the end of the year so now I can fully focus on shortening, not lengthening, my to-do list (and hopefully have time for fun holiday DIYs slash sitting on the couch watching Hart of Dixie). There is a lot on my plate, but that's how I like it and at least I now know how big my plate is.

Look for more information about those 2014 calendars shown above soon! I am also anxious to share more details about the two in real life workshops/retreats I'll be teaching at early next year. I had two inspiring phone calls this past week and I'm filling notebooks with ideas.

And speaking of in person… I'm hosting a Project Life crop tomorrow at Paper Tales in San Diego. It will be a relaxed event of Project Life making and talking. (I'll be bringing fun new product for the goodie bags!). If you're local and want to come, more information is here. You can call 619.222.2510 to reserve a spot.

In other news…we have Paul's family coming into town today and gorgeous weather that's just begging for more than a few long walks (and hopefully runs). Good stuff.

I’m so excited season 2 if Hart is now on Netflix. Just finished season 2 of Call the Midwife so now my quilting will be done to Hart.

Those calenders look really cute, I’ve been thinking about doing something similar with my son’s artwork for grandparents.

And you’ve started Prodigal Summer! Woo! Such a great book.
Love Hart of Dixie, as well as Emily Owens, MD (I mention them together because EO,MD follows HoD here in the UK on Really on a Monday night. I wait ’til half an hour after the start time and then go the recordings, so I can zip the ads but don’t have to wait too long for my weekly instalments!).

Enjoy your weekend with family and your beautiful weather!
I am going to join you on the “clear out” but I want to do my whole house. Time to grab the pen & paper to make a list.

I love the photo of the Kingsolver book. I read The Prodigal Summer a few years ago. (It was good but The Poisonwood Bible was better IMHO.)

Hi Elise! I’m so blown away by your creativity! What a gift!! And you also have such a lovely way with words (your Dear Ellerie letters are simply perfect). Hart of Dixie is fun, isn’t it?! Happy Friday xo

    Excited for the calendar!!
You’ve reminded me I need to read more of Barbara Kingsolver’s work – so far I’ve only read Animal, Vegetable, Mineral – but I want to read some of her fiction.
I’m assuming it’s intentional that you have your dash organised by colour? 😉 cool desktop.

YAY! I’m so excited for those calendar cards. I was getting anxious because I used your quote cards this year and you stopped using them, so I didn’t know what I was going to do for 2014 (I’m sure I can think of something! ha). But, yay. My PL always has a little dash of EliseJoy creativity in it!

I am SO SO SO SO SO SAD I missed your crop at paper tales. I could cry 😦 I even went to the water store yesterday and thought about going in but I decided not to because I go in there and spend money every time i go to the water store! which is at least once a week. boohoo. I’ll have to wait and see what your workshops are!

I need a desktop that tells me to say no. I might have to get on that this week.

Prodigal Summer is my favorite of Kingsolver’s, but I adore every word she writes. I hope you like it too!
