I am busy. So busy. But I had a moment yesterday as I was buzzing around the house where I realized I am also so happy. I thrive on the "busy." It makes me more productive to have a few different things going on at the same time. Eventually I'll need some downtime to recharge, but for now, I'm enjoying riding the wave.

My quilt eCourse is coming along. I have almost all of the "project development and production" phase complete and now it's the designing, writing, photographing and editing phase. I love all the different aspects of bringing a class together and I think this one is going to be a good one. I am shooting for an early October launch date and it will be completely go at your own pace.

Paul has to work tomorrow (one of the downsides of residency though the upsides – no deployments and the fact that he loves his job – more than make up for it) so today does not feel like a Friday. Ellerie and I are going to have to find something fun to do while he's at work and then we're going to have to pack an entire weekend into Sunday. I have a feeling there will be pancakes. And two chemex's worth of coffee.

Two fun links to share – I loved this commercial from Carter's (thanks for the link Carrie!) and I was so excited to see the Sunshine Project Life kit hit amazon this week.

ps…thank you for your interest in the last of the minibooks – they are now officially sold out. Retired workshop PDFs are still available at a reduced rate until the end of the month.

You don’t happen to have any blank holiday book covers laying around, do ya? I was so busy with grad school that I never got my December daily pix in my book last year. Was hoping that you’d sell the covers without dates this year so I could use it for this December.

Busy = Productive for me. Not so busy = sluggish.
I crave down time until I have it and then I honestly don’t know what to do with myself sometimes. Enjoy your creative burst of energy and go with it!

You are a better woman than I. Last night was the first night this whole week where I haven’t had something to go to after work (and I have something tonight). The house is full of unfinished projects including unpacking from my move 6 months ago and finishing repainting a dresser pulled apart and in my living room.
I came home, crawled into bed, and was out by 9pm. SO many ideas, design client waiting, boxes full, recipes to make, even ripe tomatoes to harvest and when I am home all I do is lay in bed. Sleeping or reading. Usually sleeping sigh

Elise, will your ecourse be for total beginners in the quilting world ? I’ve been wanting to learn, but I don’t even know the basis 😉

You just need the chipboard? I could send that, but it would hardly be worth the shipping. 🙂 All of my december stamps have 2012 on them, sadly.

Yes – as long as you are comfortable with your sewing machine (and that is a MUST) you’ll be fine in this course. 🙂

That’s a huge pile of the “punched” holes from when I was making all the minibooks. They are teeny tiny – hole punch sized. 😉

I really love the different patterned paper in the second photo.
Just curious, do you write your eCourse with photoshop or do you only use it for the graphics?

I always love your Around Here posts. And how do you stay busy without getting stressed out? I love being busy but sometimes it gets stressful too!

    Elise,
I now this may sound creepy or cheesy, but I adore what you do. I am so looking up to you, for living the crafty dream and for achieving what you want. Sometimes I wish I could quite everything and just live by crafting, but I can’t… BUT as long as you are such an inspiration I will keep on dreaming.
Thanks for keeping my dream alive.

I thought last year you offered the holiday cover without the year on it. That’s ok. I’ll fix the cover somehow, even if it is just cover it with paper. I’m just glad that I got one of your books before you stopped selling them.

I don’t know. Unfortunately, I have nothing to do with the production or stocking… you’ll want to get in touch with Becky Higgins for that. 🙂

I’ve been looking for a local quilting class to learn to quilt and can’t find one, guess I just did! Can I sign up yet or do I have to wait? Looking forward to making a quilt for Christmas!

I LOVE that Project Life kit! I’m a huge American Pie fan, so while it’s probably not based off of that movie, the “Remember that one time” card still made me giggle.
