It's week twenty-eight and I'm caught up with the album but a bit behind on blogging it.

Week of : July 8 – July 14.

What happened this week? Paul came home from deployment for good! Hooray!

Anything special in the spread? I played a lot this week with the Midnight Edition (I love it and adore that it meshes well with Seafoam) and Kelly Purkey's Project Life kit for Simon Stamp.

Techniques this week : Nothing. This is a classic Project Life spread for me with labels and text directly on the photos to help tell the story.

Overall thoughts : Love having Paul back at home. The real goal now is to get him more active in taking the photos. Paul, I know you are no longer reading this blog, but let's make it happen.

Plwk28detail3

Ratio of iPhone photos to "real camera" photos : 7 to 4.

Plwk28detail4

Ratio of photos taken by Elise to photos taken by Paul : All Elise and one by Paul's uncle, Alex.

Supplies used : Seafoam core kit, Midnight core kit, American Crafts letter sticker, Kelly Purkey badge, letterpress card & label stickers, Freckled Fawn wood veneer arrow.

Tools used : Design A pocket pages, Fiskars corner rounder, Zig Millenium pen, Rotatrim paper trimmer, Office Depot date stamp, staz-on ink. All photos were printed at home on my HP Photosmart 2575 printer on Office Depot semi-gloss photo paper.

Project Life is a memory-keeping system created by Becky Higgins. I use photos, text and stuff to document our life weekly. You can see all the posts from 2012 here and 2013 here. Do you have a question about how I am tackling this project (including anything about the photos)? Check here.

Ellerie is so sweet. I love the layouts featuring her.
You make me hopeful that I’ll be able to squeeze in Project Life time when my little one is expected in September.

I love seeing you and Paul included in this spread so much more! You have such a sweet little family, it’s so awesome seeing you all together! And I love how well the Seafoam and Midnight go together as well. I’m still holding off adding the Midnight kit to my digital collection, although I feel the purchase isn’t too far away! I love you colours this week… The pops of green are awesome!

Not that I don’t love your self portraits of you and Ellerie but I can’t wait to see some photos of you both taken by Paul because you have such beautiful ones of him and Ellerie together. Come on Paul, make it happen 🙂

Elise I love your style! I love your photos, your blogging, your PL layouts! Very inspirational to me!
I use Seafoam (LOVE IT!!!!) and I’ve been seeing more people meshing Seafoam with Midnight. I want to do it but I”m intimidated 🙂 I rarely try new stuff! 🙂 What is the best way to mesh the two in my PL album? I’d love to see more how you do that.
    Keep up the good work!

I am even further behind than you (creating and blogging) and I don’t have a baby lol. But I have been working on my house 🙂

I’m mixing Seafoam and Midnight as well, it’s like the kits were made for each other 🙂

You’re doing great and I knew you would, especially now that Paul is home. I was surprised to see that he doesn’t read your blog any more. That would hurt me if my husband didn’t read what I shared with the world about my family. Keep doing what you are doing.
