Maycurrently

celebrating 37 weeks of baby carrying.

clearly rocking a tabletop.

feeling relief at hitting such a monumental week.

wishing my mom a very happy 60th birthday today.

waking up earlier than ever.

sleeping well through the night.

having a love affair with my robot vacuum.

seriously obsessed with how much dust that thing picks up.

eating tiny backyard tomatoes that taste like candy.

drinking raspberry leaf iced tea.

enjoying quiet evenings with the windows open.

loving the living space now that it's "finished."

still going to bar method, but…

skipping out before the ab work at the end.

washing tiny baby clothes.

folding soft swaddling blankets and oodles of burp cloths.

setting up her bassinet in our bedroom.

video-chatting with Paul three times a day.

so appreciating our extra connection this deployment.

waiting until Paul's home to watch the next installment of Arrested Development with him.

thinking this qualifies me for some sort of Wife of the Year award.

wrapping up projects.

looking forward to a break to recharge creatively.

wondering what my little lady will look like.

practicing mindfulness.

truly enjoying today and this moment.

If I rested things on my bump, table style, my little bundle of trouble would do his best to kick it! Miss those crazy feelings inside, my bundles are 7 and 4 now, the only kicking I get from them is when they want me to get up at 6am! Enjoy the last few weeks of peace!

Congrats on 37 weeks! Robot vacuums make me think about this youtube video where a cat rides on top of one with a shark costume one. It’s quite adorable.

I think you’re inspiring for doing a pregnancy alone. I know thousands of women do it, and that social networks and increased healthcare provision make it less lonesome than it might appear.
I’m a ‘military’ spouse too and I know that when it comes to deployment you just get on with it. Still, it’s nice to acknowledge others doing well, it can be difficult to have your partner so far away from you, even if you speak often. I know I always found night time the worse!
Anyway, you are so positive, something I found difficult during the last deployment I experienced. I am grateful for your positivity; it’s refreshing, nice and it has inspired me to try and look on the brighter side next time (might as well start now and hope there isn’t a next time! – see what I did there?).
Loving the blog, and wishing you all the best in the next 3 weeks! Exciting stuff, can’t wait to be introduced to baby girl.

Your belly looks amazing! and keep us posted on the robot vacuum. I’ve considered it, but wonder if the expense is worth it.

The bar method piece cracked me up. My coworker kept going to bar classes with me all the way through the end of her pregnancy but, like you, she skipped the abs at the end. Kind of convenient that they’re at the end, huh?

getting to see what your little one looks like is seriously a moment you will never forget–people still tease me that the first thing i said after i saw my daughter was “she has dimples!” (while crying of course! 🙂 also, which variety of little tomatoes did you plant this year? looking for recommendations (i grew sunsugar and black cherry varieties last summer) thanks!

That’s quite the belly balancing act you’ve got going on 😉 I’m super enjoying evenings with the windows open, too, and I think it’s so amazing you have so much Facetime with Paul this time around — so cool that you have the opportunity to still be connected, especially during your pregnancy!!

I have been wondering the same thing! In Australia, they’re pushing one called the Roomba and I have been eying it with the utmost intrigue whenever it comes on TV. How often do you need to empty it?

“waiting until Paul’s home to watch the next installment of Arrested Development with him.”
This made me laugh, because on my fiance’s recent deployment I held off on watching Game of Thrones until he got home. I also felt like wife of the year (or wife to be of the year)
I have loved reading your posts about baby cripe lately. And also everything else you write if I’m honest.

It takes about three battery charges to get through the house and it almost gets full and I empty it after each time. SO MUCH DUST gets collected, I can hardly believe it.
