It's beginning to get a little pink around here.

How fun to have tiny baby clothes in the house! In addition to a closet full of tiny outfits (don't worry that stuff spans newborn to one year), my "real stuff" orders are beginning to trickle in. We have a crib! And crib mattress! And diapers! And my list of stuff to gather is slightly less overwhelming than it was last week! Progress in any department at this point feels fantastic.

Also so exciting : a few of my plants have sprouted tiny green tomatoes already. I waited months and months for this last summer, so I am not sure what's happening this time around. I think it has a lot to do with not over-watering and getting the plants into the correct size containers from the beginning. Or it might just be that the small tomatoes (these are cherry and sweet 100s) develop much faster. Either way, I am so pumped and inspired to get more plants going right away.

Have a wonderful weekend! I am looking forward to visiting with some college friends and celebrating one of my favorite bachelorettes.

Baby Cripe’s quilt looks so amazing under the Ted. I swore off pink completely – I’m not a pink girl – when I had my daughter but my friends and family completely ignored me and bought her lots of pink anyway so I had to embrace it! Baby girls look fabulous in pink though – and yellow too. Love that you have yellow in there, my fave. Thanks for sharing.

Your love for both of them shines in the way you work diligently, the way you work bravely, and the way you work joyfully. Have a wonderful time this weekend!

All the baby girl stuff creeping in is so exciting! And, I can’t wait to see what you do with the hoop and ribbons.
Tomatoes need a little “neglect” every now and then, especially when waiting for the first few tomatoes. It forces them to put all their “energy” into making seeds i.e. the fruit. I’ve always had the best luck with hot and dry for cherry tomatoes.

The little baby clothes are so cute!
I planted cherry tomatoes in my garden about a month after the regular sized tomatoes and the cherry tomatoes started growing fruit first despite being younger, so maybe it is because they’re smaller?

The baby clothes are so cute on those little hangers!!
And yes, cherry tomatoes grow SO MUCH faster than regular tomatoes – and they keep growing after the regular tomatoes have already stopped, which is awesome. You will love it!

I can’t believe someone hasn’t asked yet (or maybe its that I’m pregnant and its all I can seem to think about lately, but DIAPERS! Do tell! I know you mentioned awhile back about thinking about doing cloth, are you still? We are cloth diapering and I am so confused what we will like so I bought a few of each kind (flat, fitted that need a cover with snaps and ones that have to be used with a snappi, and all in one) in the newborn size so we could try them all out and see what we like, but now I’m afraid he’ll be too big for the newborns after about a week…would love to hear what you’ve decided!

Cherry tomatoes are one of the easiest tomatoes to grow with lots of fruit so always a winner….I have only ever grown these and would like to grow bigger ones. Great to have both varieties on hand. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia
