feeling little baby kicks all day long.

loving her and her constant companionship so much.

finding myself singing twinkle, twinkle little star out loud so she can hear my voice on the alone days.

incredibly grateful for my parents and their hard work this past weekend.

happy to have the washer and dryer hooked up.

looking around my house and seeing "complete" projects.

filling the house with an absurd amount of plants.

dreaming about sheer white curtains in our bedroom.

planning some big art for the walls.

planting a vegetable garden.

taking a run at growing artichokes this season.

still deciding what another new plants to try.

thrilled to have made it to 27 weeks with this pregnancy.

praying for the remaining 13 weeks to be healthy and simple.

marveling over a calendar that involves plans for 10 out the the next 13 weekends.

saying good-bye to my belly button…

…and welcoming with open arms a growing baby bump.

re-watching FRIENDS from the beginning for the 95th time.

sewing black and white squares together.

wearing maxi skirts everyday.

savoring my one cup of coffee & cereal with banana each morning.

getting through this second deployment much more gracefully.

soaking up the sunshine.

Sounds like you’re doing pretty well 🙂 I’m assuming that foto was taken in your new place?
How do you manage to keep your stuff so tidy… my mind boggles. I quite enjoy tidying up, yet my place never seems to stay that way for long xD Especially not when I get busy on projects.

Aww. Your office is looking awesome & love your outfit. I’m happy that things are going more smoothly for you this deployment! They’re so hard & with a baby on the way could seem very overwhelming. But you seem so well! Hope everything continues to go smoothly!!!

The singing! Such a clever idea. I can only imagine how I would probably be that crazy woman talking to herself and the plants and the kitchen drawers all day long when alone for such a long strech of time. Do you have friends in SD you moved “back” to? Nevermind answering such a personal question on the net, who am I to ask anyway 😉

I have sung “Twinkle Twinkle” at bed time to my son ever since he was an infant. Now at 22 months, he has started singing that song back to me. It is THE BEST 🙂

The best thing about Friends, for me, was that I was the same age as the characters and so were all my friends, and we were in the same stage of life. Living in cruddy apts in the city, hanging out with friends at the local place, dating the wrong people, getting Rachel’s haircut, and always wanting to see what the girls wore.
Every time I see that show I am taken back to that time in my life.

Beautiful and inspiring, as always. That maxi skirt looks GREAT on you and your uber cute baby bump (I can’t pull off the maxi look, womp womp).
Your new home is gorgeous, and you’re absolutely glowing in it. Happy to hear that you’re handling this deployment more gracefully. They’re hard, I know (before we were married my husband was deployed for a year).
We’re getting ready to plant our first veggie garden, too, but the danger of frost hasn’t quite disappeared yet here in DC so we’ll have to wait another few weeks. Excited to see your progress!

I love that you’re still drinking coffee, in small amounts, of course. People give me a big scare about what you can and can’t do during pregnancy, but I think it’s all about moderation and responsibility!

So happy you have that sweet little one to keep you company. Is your desk the formerly taped desk? I remember you saying something about it not lasting and wondering if it took any special effort to remove. Un-du perhaps?

Love the photos you are sharing of your new place. Congrats, by the way, it looks like you have found a gem! It is always so fun to ‘set up’ a new home and I am interested to see how you decorate your great place. So BRAVE of you to be doing it without Paul, but at the same time, good on you! Blessings.

A few thoughts as I read your post today…
Congratulations on your 27th week; you look great!
That room you’re in gets great light…I miss that about living out west, so thanks for sharing such a happy photo
Finally, would love to know about that wooden table along the wall opposite the window – not sure if it’s a vintage find or something that can still be purchased but I like the size and function.
Wishing you the happiest of weeks!

I love Friends! I am thinking I need to buy to whole series. But the show that I “can watch any time/all the time and never get sick of” is Gilmore Girls.
Oh gosh, I might have to go pop in a disc right now!

I just want to add my voice here to cheer you on during this amazing, crazy time you’re experiencing! You are one inspiring gal (I started project life this year and i love it despite not being a natural record-keeper), and I hope you stay healthy, happy and safe for the rest of the pregnancy. Congrats on all you’ve achieved this year already (yikes!).

I’m glad Paul’s deployment is easier than last time… I’m sure knowing that your not alone this time with your little lady there with you makes it a bit easier! I’m loving seeing all your plant photos, and can’t wait to see your finished quilt… The black and white looks amazing together! You look so glowing and stunning in that photo! 🙂

I love your blog and check it every day lol, I don’t normally comment but what about planting swan plants for the monarch butterfly, they are stunning and it will be a year or two before you little one enjoys them to but in the mean time you and Paul can watch the caterpillars and butterflies, we have some now and we have over 60 caterpillars on them (poor plants just not enough for that many) my 5 year old son loves going out and watching them, I love taking photos of them and watching them to….
