Today I am so thankful for my tiny valentine. This little lady, who I have never met, has already stolen my heart. She's my favorite and I don't even know her yet. The emotional roller-coaster that comes with waiting to become a parent is so awesome and yet so overwhelming. And by overwhelming, I mean terrifying.

Today I am taking it slow.

Today I am most likely re-watching Pitch Perfect.

Today I am soaking up our last few days in this townhouse by the beach.

Today I am waiting for news that the notary is ready for me to sign our loan paper work.

Today I am looking at all my lists of stuff to do before we can get out of this house and into the next one and saying a quick prayer of thanksgiving that we're more ahead than behind.

Today I am missing my guy, who's halfway around the world.

Today I am loving my girl, who's tucked away safe and sound.

Happy Valentine's Day.

    I’m not usually a celebrator of Valentine’s day, but this morning my daughter brought me breakfast in bed and said I was her favourite and best and I knew it was going to be the best February 14 ever.     Bless you, your tiny Valentine and your hard-working Valentine around the world. My daughter (my 3rd child) was born 4 months ago and I’m enjoying the opportunity to somewhat relive that beautiful pregnancy through your new experience. As much as I LOVE having my daughter (how fun is that to say?!) here to love, snuggle, feed and adore, I will always miss those magical months of pregnancy where she was tucked safely inside, hearing my thoughts to her. Just mine. All mine. Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

    Re-watching Pitch Perfect? I like you even more now! I have watched that movie several times by myself and then with a group of girlfriends. (I even posted about it.) One night my girlfriends and I quoted that movie over dinner and worked ourselves up into hysterics!

    Happy Valentine’s Day, Elise!! You are so sweet, and I love this post! I’m an Army wife with a three month old baby girl, and my husband is about to go away to training for a month. I know it’s nothing compared to a deployment, but it’s so, so nice knowing I have my little lady to keep me company during that time. It really does make things so much better, and even though your lady is still in your belly, I’m so happy that you have her with you this time around. 🙂 I hope you have a great day!

    it is SO totally terrifying… and amazing. i thought it was so much more terrifying when the baby was inside because you can’t check on them every day but with all the crap on the outside, my gosh it’s even more scary!

    I definitely think I need some pointers on how to get ahead on the list of moving items. We’re moving back to South Carolina from China in 6 weeks and my list is long! And scary. And I’m losing 2 weeks to travel in Beijing and Vietnam. Oh MY! Now I wish I hadn’t read this so I could stick my head in the sand a little longer.
    (p.s. We are OBSESSED with Pitch Perfect in this house. Seen it 10 times in the last month.)
