All things considered, it was a fantastic week. No disclaimer needed.

We're almost one week down on Paul being gone. Escrow is progressing – we might close as early as next Thursday. Baby girl preformed her first dance recital for an audience of one on Wednesday night. I have creative work and fun projects lined up for the next few weeks and visitors coming every weekend in February.

I cannot thank you enough for your kind comments on my posts this week. I have to say, these transition times are always hard (and this one is a big one) but they bring with them so much. So many new ideas. So much emotion. So much energy. So much inspiration. It's a joy to share here and I really appreciate that you are taking the time to read and share encouragement. It totally helps. Also – no need to worry, I will not lift anything heavy while moving. My health and that of baby girl's comes first.

Have a great weekend.

Her first dance recital! C: Did she do that move where she extends her elbow and leaves it there for a long time?

So much congrats on your baby girl!! Sometimes I miss those little joys that only come with pregnancy… Like little dance recitals in your belly. Enjoy every moment, those babies grow up tooooo fast. (Mine are now 15, 11 & 3).
P.S. I think we might have the same KitchenAid… Buttercup yellow? 🙂

If you can catch it, video tape your belly moving! So weird and yet fascinating at the same time. Plus it’s something fun to look back on.
I know how tough those first few days (and then the middle days, and then the last days) can be during a deployment. You seem to be doing really well and very focused. I’m glad the baby and the move will keep you occupied!

So happy that you have modern technology to keep in touch now on deployments. My husband is a Naval Academy grad and he did 2 WEST PAC deployments in the 90’s before he went to business school. We had to rely on telegrams (yep!), lots of missed phone calls, and handwritten letters (prized possessions!). Email started to kick in during his last deployment in ’97. Thank goodness for Face Time and Google Chat!

Thats awesome the first week went so well- i think your move came at the perfect time along with this deployment- it will keep you so busy (in a good way) and you would probably feel guilty if paul was home because once you get the keys, all you will want to do is decorate- you can spend all your time making a house a home and that is awesome

I’m so glad I found your blog in December. I do wish I’d found it sooner! You have truly inspired me with my Project Life journey. I’ve re-discovered the love I had when I first began this journey 4 years ago. I love the Seafoam edition, and I visit your blog daily for inspiration. Thanks for sharing and your positive outlook of life is so refrehing – you are truly a joy. Congrats on your little princess and I’ll think of you during this transition. I’m a knitter and I’ve enjoyed your patterns – thanks for sharing…………

My boyfriend is going on a fishing trip and I was kinda bugged by it at first, so I’ve not stopped and put myself in check and told myself to get over it.
You truly are a great inspiration to women, single or with someone, young or old like me,41.
It’s really going to be a great experience for you and baby girl and when dad comes home, something great to share with him.”I was 6 months pregnant when me and baby decorated the living room, she loves the colors” Sounds like a cute idea to me.

I’m keeping you in my thoughts! I’m also a military (Army) wife and have also experienced those separations and tough times. We are apart now for a few months until our move this summer, but it’s not a deployment and easier to handle. I love your positive attitude and refusal to be a victim of the lifestyle 🙂 I believe sometimes we find amazing strength in ourselves during these times and it really can be a blessing. Best wishes to you, your husband and little one.
