enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

20weeks

enjoying my last few weeks with Paul home.

planning trips and girlfriend adventures for the next few months.

thrilled to be pregnant with a baby girl.

praying she stays healthy & keeps growing.

celebrating reaching the halfway mark with her!

resisting (almost) all the adorable baby clothes.

covering our fridge with ultrasound photos.

preparing for a stamp launch next week.

stretching daily with yoga.

making time for short walks.

carrying my knitting from one room to the next.

expanding our housing search and finding much better options.

writing lists of projects I’d love to tackle.

preparing a book report for the blog.

living in maxi dresses and skirts.

ordering my first pair of maternity jeans.

eating grilled cheese sandwiches like it’s my job.

loving the custom artwork that Kal made for the future nursery.

sleeping unbelievably well and appreciating it so much.

Yay! for new stamps. Yay! for maternity jeans- I lived in mine. Yay! for resiting baby clothes (you will get more than you can handle.) I am so happy that you are feeling great.
PS. Don’t walk through the baby dept at Target. Those clothes get me every.single.time. 🙂

i remember resisting maternity jeans for so long, but once i was in them, i was hooked! i ended up in jeans that didn’t have a big belly-covering panel, but they supported the bottom of my belly just perfectly – and they were so much more comfortable than regular jeans with the button un-done!

Elise, I bought ALL my maternity pants (jeans and work slacks) this last time from The Gap and OMG I LOVED them so hard, until they fell apart. They were so comfy and looked great (the length was perfect), and were also AWESOME to wear for the first few weeks post-partum without making you feel bulky or just-had-a-baby-y. I’m not a fan of the full panel pants so I went with the demi panel. I hope you love yours as much as I loved mine!
And I’m looking super forward to your book report! I made a goal to read 26 books I’ve never read before, each starting with a different letter of the alphabet — so I’m always on the lookout for a good read!

i can’t believe how far along you are! for some reason i keep thinking you’re way, way behind me, but no! good luck with the maternity jeans. i found gap’s to have two small of a panel for me and they made my butt look funky, but then again i don’t wear their jeans normally so obviously its way different for everyone. i got a pair of dark denim straight/skinny legged ones from motherhood maternity that i love. the only pair i invested in and hopefully will have to! i think they were around $35 too, not bad. sending love to your little one! i know you’re taking great care of her. xo

OMGoodness; I can’t believe you’re HALFWAY THROUGH your pregnancy already! You’re gonna love it! Except for the needles. The rest is great. (Oh, and if you’ll notice, you’ll find that people suddenly believe every. word. that. you. say. – even if it’s something that YOU think sounds dubious coming out of your mouth. It’s CRAZY!)
    Blessings 🙂

i’m 27 weeks and i’ve bought almost all the pieces from Gap Maternity and been very very happy — i have their full panel on my regular jeans and then the demi on the pair you just ordered (but i have them in purple 🙂 ) — increased love by the fact that i was able to buy it all 50% off and with rewards -they have great sales- good luck and hope you love your pants – you are so cute and little (i had to buy maternity pants around week 12 because of how my body decided to grow!) and it’s great to read about preggo adventure

Elise ~ I’m a big fan of Mae Chevette’s art and work and photography. I pinned this print for my OLW CHANGE but also thought of you with your word of brave…here’s link to the print.
I am hoping we are going to see your completed OLW jan page? 🙂 thanks!

My first pregnancy I only bought yoga/exercise pant and a couple of pants for work. I was able to stay in my low cut jeans with the help of the belly band and a hair tie around the pants button. This gave me more money to spend on baby clothes and some fun tops! The tops were a must!
