Holiday4

Quick little holiday book update this week.

Holiday4a

Again, keeping things simple and letting the patterned papers be design elements.

Holiday4detail1

Obvoiously loved that ampersand stamp from Meredith's pop-up shop. Too cute.

Holiday4b

I adhered a 4×6 photo of our fridge getting covered in holiday cards to the back of that tabbed card. I loved that the cards I received yesterday all came with Christmas stamps, so I trimmed them down and covered a page. Love that you can see the post marks too.

Holiday4c

Added a small photo of a clay ornament to the backside and used a label on that dot overlay to talk about the ornaments.

Holiday4d

And then just a few labels, stamps and a photo of the calendar gift wrap I am using this year. Thanks for following along!

Supplies used : holiday mixed paper book, Evalicious
embellishments, Pop-Up shop holiday stamps, American Crafts chipboard frame, Office Depot date
stamp, Paper Source labels, Martha Stewart & Avery labels, Zig Millennium pen, StazOn ink, Colorbox chalk ink.

Really love the stamp page! I’ll keep that in mind as we receive more cards! I had to school my husband the other day because he opened a bunch of the cards and recycled the envelopes before I got to look at them. Some of the envelopes were really pretty!

I’m another person in love with your stamp page, and the card photo. I wish we had cool post marks like that here, but they don’t change them up over Christmas here, just use the standard boring ones 😦
I love the stamps you get at Christmas time though… I used to collect stamps, so I love seeing all the different ones

Agree with the above. Awesome stamp collection and great way to include all the cards but not the bulk. A photo. Simple and genius. Why I keep reading!

Love this! I also really like the clay ornament post. I really want to make clay ornaments too. I want to do it when my man gets home for the holidays and we can do them together. Anyways love this.

    Hi Elise!
I regret not having purchased a holiday book before your shop closed up for the season. Will you still have this great little mini book available when your shop reopens? Thanks and merry Christmas! Jenny

I love how you keep it simple and yet still so effective. Documenting December Daily is my most favourite project of the year, even if I get behind…

I have yet to actually put anything in my little book or alter it in any way. But I am collecting things (have you seen Panera’s holiday bags and cardboard sleeves? cute!) and writing stories on FB and Oh Life to save. I hope to sit down when I have time off for the holidays and do it all at once.
Just having the book and knowing it’s there has made a difference! I look for things to take pics of and last week I got a tutorial on the manual settings on my camera from my sister (who has a BFA in photography) so I am getting some wonderful shots with NO FLASH. I am hoping I can get some Christmas lights shots after dark, without a tripod.
