Holiday3

see update one & update two.

Holiday3a

Kind of a mini update from these last few days. I wanted to share more candle photos and some text about "candle night" traditions on the red scalloped card.

Holiday3b

My dad texted me a photo of their house all set up for a Christmas party with candles and I loved sharing both in the book. Pretty fun to see where I "get it from."

I used more of those little Studio Calico stickers to designate "E&P" and "M&D" on the photos.

Holiday3c

Then a simple spread of some bread I made over the weekend (I never got a good photo of it!). More label stickers used here to share text.

Holiday3d

And the last spread of this update – I used the little envelope in the book to hold list of the gifts we are giving this year. I sealed the envelope with washi and glitter tape from Freckled Fawn. I've definitely left more paper "blank" this year. I'm happy to just let the various patterns decorate the book.

Keeping it simple…

Supplies used : holiday mixed paper book, Freckled Fawn tape, Martha Stewart & Avery label stickers, Studio Calico
stickers, Basic Gray for Studio Calico letter stickers, silver gelly roll pen, Zig Millennium pen.

So awesome, makes me wish I had started a holiday book…it is our first Christmas! Just curious… are M and D for mom and dad, or are they really your parents initials. Very cool coincidence if it’s both!
    Merry Christmas!

I’m loving your updates! I haven’t started my December Daily (well, not quite daily) book yet, but I’m planning on getting pictures printed this weekend. I’m stoked to have such a great book to compile it in. I might just have to try some sewing on paper.

This is turning out fantastic! I did the same thing in my December Daily album with an envelope to hide my gift list, but I made mine myself since I needed it a specific size. the Writing on the scallop circle with the candle photos is my favourite out of these pages… Candles are awesome!

Love that bracket paper. The 2 candle photos- your house and your parents’ house- are adorable displayed like that! 🙂

So awesome! I am working through my December Daily album as well and loving it. I really like your idea of keeping some pages for just the pattern. Gonna steal that one!

It did not quite turn out how I wanted it to. 😦 I have made it before with chocolate and it was much better. Here is a link with more info : http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/2011/02/40-loaves-chocolate-bread.html
