Ilovedec

urban outfitters cork letters, 31bits sweet tart necklace, converse one star jacket, liz lange maternity dress, harry potter coffee mug, gap baby sherpa hat, DIY woven lamp by Bookhou, paislee press 2013 calendar cards.

It was very easy to find loves this month. Other than that jacket (hoping the open bottom has room for my soon-to-be-expanding belly) and that mint tunic/dress (one of the very few cute maternity items I have found) and of course those fab journaling cards that I will be for sure working into Project Life in 2013, this is just fun stuff to look at. Except that DIY lamp. I want to make that.

ps. check back this afternoon for a holiday book update.

cute maternity stuff is the hardest to find… i keep saying that it’s such an untapped market… why stores like anthropologie and urban outfitters, etc. dont tap into that market is beyond me! im trying to find a formal maternity dress for my husbands work party and everything is so dowdy. yuck!

Cute maternity is so very hard!! Don’t get much yet, you are small enough and with styles being what they are, you’ll be able to wear normal clothes much longer than you think! Though I did have maternity, there were regular clothes I could still wear…even near the end (first baby! haha) Very much depends on what styles are popular at the time.
Low rise jeans, too…a bunch of friends could wear these instead of maternity!
    SO fun! Good luck!

I sympathize with you on the maternity clothes. I did end up finding some I really liked at Destination Maternity in our local mall here in Sac. I can say that if you have things you can wear for longer then do go for it. The pants will be comfy though! 🙂 Love that little baby hat! Check out Naartje for fabulous little hats. Super fun. 🙂

Love this list. Big huge congrats on the baby! If you are anything like I was while pregnant (mostly just belly), you’ll be able to wear a lot of regular clothes throughout your pregnancy. I did a lot of maxi dresses and high waisted or flowy tops. Leggings and tunics in a size or two bigger worked great. For a couple dress up events, I just purchased regular dresses with higher waist lines in 2 sizes up and they worked just fine. I would suggest you invest in a nice pair of maternity jeans though. I had a nice pair of trouser jeans and a pair of skinnies from Gap maternity that I wore all the time.

the best tip i got about maternity clothes when i got pregnant: loop a hair tie through the hole and then loop that over the button! adds a comfy stretchy inch and your shirt will keep it covered and you can stay in your jeans longer!
i also agree with debbi g! the popularity of the tunic and longer style tops are perfect paired with a long tank. the be maternity seamless ruched tank from Target in particular. LIVED IN IT!
and remember, unless you plan on having a summer baby every time, you’re probably not going to wear it beyond the few months you need them. so invest in great basics (loved gap basic tees & old navy leggings) then just wear your normal cardis over top. not that you need styling tips since you always keep it chic!

I have to second this. I bought all sorts of clothes assuming I’d be huge with my first, and I was always swimming in them until the last month. Buy stuff as it fits you. You very well may be able to wear your “normal” clothes for a long, long time.
It must have been my awesome abs that kept my belly in.
Kidding. Totally Kidding. I’ve got no abs to speak of.

I loved the Harry Potter mug. I’m just now reading the series, about 1/2 way through Goblets of Fire. There are some kids in my library reading HP so I thought I’d join them.
