Holiday2

I can't figure out if this book is really coming together easier this year or if I'm happier so it just feels that way? Either way… glad it's moving along smoothly.

Holiday2a

Added journaling to that striped paper (that's why the stripes are there) and paired it with a photo of our holiday envelopes before they went out the door. I mailed off 80 this year – a new record for us. Those green stickers are Thickers by Amy Tangerine.

Holiday2b

Added a small photo to that kraft and white patterned paper of my envelope stuffing in progress. Also included an empty envelope to the book to show how I taped them up.

Holiday2detail2

Those little shape stickers are by Studio Calico and I thought they added a fun touch of color. I added machine stitching to finish off the photo.

Holiday2c

On the front of the envelope, I stamped our current address stamp (smudged out here for privacy) and included the sticker that came with my holiday stamps as a mock stamp. In the real book, I have our actual holiday card added between these pages, but I am saving that (some folks have probably not received them yet) and I'll be sharing on the blog Monday. With the card in there it's busy, so I left that great green and blue pattern untouched except for a flair button from Evalicious.

Holiday2d

I've been taking a lot of candlelight photos and this instagram one was one of my favorites so far. To give it a bit more weight, I framed it with a Christmas frame from Studio Calico. Love the look of the cut-out joy and the stitching to hold it all together.

Holiday2detail

We already know repeating stamps are my go-to and the FOR THE LOVE OF stamp worked out well here to cover the piece of cardstock. I just filled in the boxes I could quickly think of, but you could easily fill them all up.

Holiday2e

And then two tree light photos with white fabric Thickers on top. Love how this spread turned out even though it's really so simple.

Next update will be mid-week some time! Thank you for following along.

Supplies used : holiday mixed paper book, Evalicious
embellishments, Elise Joy stamp, Office Depot date
stamp, American Crafts & Amy Tangerine Thickers, Studio Calico stickers and photo frame, Zig Millennium pen, StazOn ink, Target letter stamps.

    Hi Elise!
I’m sure you have shared this before, but what photo printer do you use? Do your photos come out similar to what they look like on your screen?
I got an Epson picture mate printer a while ago and am just now really getting to use if for my December Daily book. My photos look wonderful on my computer screen, but when they print they are coming out very dark and yellow/orange. So I think I might be in the market for another printer.
    Do you have any tips/advice?

I LOVE your PL album, but I’ve kind of missed seeing your 4×6 albums. I was actually going to do 4×6 albums this year – and then you switched to PL and THAT did it. I’ve been on the PL bandwagon all year and just loved it. 😉
This album is adorable, by the way.

I love your PL album but I get excited whenever you do a mini 🙂 I just love to see how you fill them and capture the magic of the season.

i’m pretty sure the picture of your christmas tree is how i see christmas time in general. warm, piney and a bit of a blur 🙂
and now my card anxiety (from the lack of a card!) is heightened!

Thank you! I attach it for sure. Usually to the back of a piece of cardstock or sometimes to the more boring side of a patterned paper OR to another photo. 🙂

🙂 That picture of you and Paul is great. I love that California, laid-back, “we’re pregnant” look if that makes sense.

Love it! Curious about your return address. Did you make the stamp? What is the design for the stamp? Since I know I will be moving in the next few years and/or getting married I am wondering if it is worthwhile to make or buy an address stamp.

I’m loving your book. I wished I had checked your blog before I decided on the size I did for this years book. I didn’t think you were going the mini’s anymore for some reason. I still have the one from last year to do. LOL A little behind huh? At least I keep a daily written journal so I can go back and get things done like that. Life moves entirely too fast.

This is turning out awesome! I love your full stamped page, and how you’ve recorded your Christmas card process. I’m making Christmas cards for the first time this year, so I really like the idea of how to document it for my December Daily. You’re twinkling lights on the tree look very festive and cheerful. I need to learn to take better pics of mine!

I have oodles of FF tape but those are actually Target and Studio Calico. I needed a lot to get through all the cards. 🙂
