Week 43 and I still love this project.

This is actually two weeks ago (hoping to have this past week up tomorrow morning) and was a pretty basic week for us. I didn't think I had done a very good job taking photos, but somehow (thanks to my phone) I found a few.

Lack of photos sometimes means extra "stuff." That blurred card is patterned paper with some private journaling. I also tucked a card from the Project Real Life course into a 3×4 pocket along with some fabric and the backside of a business card (the front showed the week prior).

And on the right I added pieces from my QBM name tag. The wooden part is just on a swatch of fabric and the "name" part is on a pattern sample from the Seafoam kit. I loved that it looked "bee-ish."

As always, with this album, sometimes it's complicated, sometimes it's just filling pockets and moving on to the next week. This was definitely the latter. 🙂

supplies / Paper Source
circle labels, Evalicious arrow tab and journaling spot, Martha Stewart & Avery labels, Amy Tangerine for American Crafts patterned paper, Seafoam kit patterned paper, Studio Calico wood "today" word, Office Depot date stamp, Design A page protectors, Clementine core kit, Bebas quote font. I use a Fiskars corner rounder (it's not amazing, but it's lasted the longest of any corner rounder I've ever had). I am using a Zig Millennium 0.1 pen and Recollections glossy marker throughout this album.

Oh my gosh! You only have 9 weeks left before you have the whole year documented! I bought the turquoise kit recently to try and complete a 2012 PL because it is the year my hubby and I became 3…. Just can’t wait for the new releases to be available…seafoam will be my 2013! Hopefully I can complete both…..can you tell I’m excited about PL? Have a fabulous weekend, Elise 🙂

I actually really love your weeks when you fill them with everyday stuff, like your name badge, fabric from your quilt and business cards… It’s such a fun touch!

Curious question: without details do you put stuff like those difficult marriage days, or failures, or disappointments in your PL or do you mostly ‘color’ over those things with a positive spin and put them in that way? I only ask because it’s just the two of you versus, say, my larger family. Again, just curious? I’m planning PL next year and while it seems like a place I could put some things, but still wouldn’t want to put too personal in…

hey Susan, yes and no. I have no problem sharing personal stuff in PL. I will usually add that stuff in folded journaling cards and tuck them into a pocket. But I have noticed though that on the days where things are hard or Paul and I fight, the last thing I want to do is go be creative and work on my PL album. So on THAT day, nothing gets added. Then, a few days later, when I am working on the album again, most likely the problem has blown over and does not even seem like a big deal anymore, so it will not make the spread. It is not like I am trying to hide the negativity, it is just that as the days go by the negative stuff seems less of an issue. Hope that makes sense.

I just recently ordered the ‘Design I (for Instagram photos)’. I am frustrated that when I crop my photos to 4×4 they do not fit in the squares perfectly. When you open your photos in Photoshop, what do you crop them down to? Thank you for your help.

Hmm, I just checked a design I with a 4×4 piece of paper and it fit! There was a tiny bit of extra space on the edges, but that does not bother me. I resize and print at 4×4 always. 🙂 Not sure what would be the PERFECT fit to print at. Wish I could be more help.
