Week 32 and I still love this project.

More catch-up again this week as we were out of town again last weekend for a wedding. Laughably simple, folks. LAUGHABLY SIMPLE. It's so key for me to remember that the focus is the album, not the spread. It's the year, not the week. That's for sure what keeps me going (though I know it makes for some boring update posts…)

I have been holding onto that calendar page for years and was happy to work it in. I cropped the important part of the wedding program and slipped it into a pocket (names blurred for privacy).

Photos, photos, photos on the right side.

I love my iPhone, especially when we are traveling. Eight out of ten photos this week were taken with it.

I loved those fortune cookie messages from the wedding and I stapled them right to a Hambly transparency.

That's it! With huge grins we move onward and forward…

supplies / Paper Source circle label, Hello Forever flair button, Banana Fish Studio girl tab, Hambly transparency, Design A page protectors (which are available in this variety pack),  Clementine core kit, Bebas quote font. I use a Fiskars corner rounder (it's not amazing, but it's lasted the longest of any corner rounder I've ever had). I am using a Zig Millennium 0.1 pen and Recollections glossy marker throughout this album.

I’ve been using the Bebas font for a number of projects recently, and it seems like the spacing between words is just a little too narrow. I end up adding an extra space or two just to visually break things up. Do you do the same? I know you use it a lot for your quote cards, which is probably what inspired me to start using it. 🙂

P.S. I know there’s an updated version of the font called BebasNeue, which corrects the spacing issue, I think… but some of the letters look a little different too.
I’m just a font nerd who’s curious about your use of Bebas. 🙂

I find the same thing, Rachel! I’d be curious to hear Elise’s response.

VERY observant! I do that too. There is a double space between each word on the quote cards. 🙂

I’m so in love with this project… I just went through all my old storage and found so many ticket stubs, invitations, etc… Can’t wait to put them all together. I want to make something like this, but I know I will be such a stickler for making everything perfectly chronological… and trying to do that with 15+ years of memorabilia might just drive me mad!

I just wanted to let you know that I just discovered your blog and Project Life album, and your PL is BY FAR my favourite of hundreds I have seen on the web. It is a real honour to be able to look through your pages. Thank you 🙂

Do you print your photos off at home? If so, what kind of printer do you have? That is the only “scary” bit of project life for me…we do all our photo ordering through Snapfish, but the photos MAKE the book so much more fresh and personal…help!;)

I really like that you used the fortune cookie fortunes on the layout! Super cute! I love how simple the page is as well… Really draws the focus to the awesome photos!
