Newoffice

I spent today and yesterday in major reorganization mode. Not a box, drawer or shelf in my office was safe. I went through and recycled, trashed and piled for donations. I'd say I cut the "stuff" down by at least 30%.

Biggest achievements – putting 600 old 4×6 photos into albums, removing the rug that was just collecting dirt and paper scraps, sorting through all the fabric & paper, clearing more workspace, reorganizing my clipboards, getting some art framed and utilizing my cubby display for rubber stamp and art supply storage.

It feels like a new space and I'm super inspired.

    That is awesome! I find that cleaning my workspace really helps creatively. And I love pretty storage boxes like you have. It makes all the “stuff” present so much better.

    good for you.. it looks fabulous. I need to get my butt in gear and do the same thing, we’re moving fr ND to FL at the end of the year, and I hv to start purging and packing things up now… way too much stuff.. gosh. U inspire me. xo

    “Biggest achievements – putting 600 old 4×6 photos into albums” OMG, how did you do this so fast?? I have so many photos in my backlog, which should go in photoalbums as fast as possible, but I don’t know how to start. Can you give any advice how to achieve this?

    thanks! it is a similar technique to this : http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/2012/01/tutorial-combining-text-photos-in-pse.html you will just make three circles and combine the middle one with a duplicate photo AND the text with a separate duplicate photo. 🙂

    I shared some thoughts on this last summer when I put all my parents photos into nice new kolo albums (http://eliseblaha.typepad.com/golden/2011/08/the-great-album-re-vamp-project.html) This time, I had two boxes of photos from Paul in college and then us in the early years. I raced through two more kolo hudson 3ups and stuck in the photos. It helped because I did not really worry about going in chronological order. I just worried about getting them out of the box and into an album that someone might actually care to look through. 🙂

    That’s a major accomplishment! Isn’t it the best feeling when you’re done and you stand back and see the results of all your hard work? Gotta say, you were one busy beaver!! That’s the kind of task that is daunting. I usually hang the proverbial carrot in front of me to get the “I’d rather do something else” jobs done. What’s your reward?

    Congratulations for a job well done! I also want to organize my stuff because they are so messy. It would be a great achievement for me too if I could do what you did with yours, My parents would be happy if they will see my stuff well organize.
