enJOY it

an archived personal and craft blog from Elise Blaha Cripe.

Currently

cartwheeling on the beach at sunset.

relieved to have the very last of the stamps out the door.

racing through The Night Circus.

preparing a book report because the reading has been amazing this summer.

smiling every time I walk into our decorated bedroom.

enjoying how much free time Paul and I have together.

making so much progress on a big project.

using spreadsheets to stay organized.

feeling calm about some tough decisions.

running faster than I ever have before.

spending time going through old photos & finding gems to frame (ex. a & b)

using pencil instead of pen these days.

checking on the two tomatoes that have started to turn red.

pleased to have honored my clothes speeding freeze for almost two months.

finding it easier to not buy as time passes.

loving the Sunday farmer's market.

eating caprese salads everyday.

sleeping poorly due to a mind that won't settle.

writing a blog post with some thoughts that need to be shared.

watching season one of Battlestar Gallactica.

spending today giving my office a complete overhaul.

planning on being absolutely ruthless about what stays and what goes.

Love this post! I think I should try to make a list like that myself. It will be interesting.

    Love the cartwheels!
I haven’t bought any clothing/shoes/bags/etc. since November last year and I find that the more time passes, the easier it gets.
So excited about your big project!

Hey Elise what a great “currently” list. I’m about to get ruthless with my own work space. I feel a combination of “can’t wait” & “pure dread” the battle between pack-rat & sparse & spare begins.
Would love it if you could talk sometime about how spreadsheets help keep you organized. I love to here any and all tips and techniques from other creatives about working efficiently & being productive. Thanks !! xo Susan

hooray for office purging and overhauling! and good to hear that whatever your tough decisions you’ve had to make recently, you’ve found peace with them. tough decisions are the WORST part of being an adult!

I keep hearing good things about Battlestar Gallactica. My husband and I bought the complete series to watch soon. Good luck with the office cleanout!

I loved the Night Circus and am now reading Stephen King’s 11.22.63,it’s amazing and different to most of his books. Next I’m reading Jasper Fforde’s The Woman Who Died a Lot which arrives tomorrow. His book Shades of Grey about a world which is linked to colour was fantastic. Keep up your great blog and happy reading.
