Summermanifesto

Summer is absolutely my favorite. I love the fresh fruit. The colors. The heat. The bonus daylight.

I don't know that I feel more inspired in summer, but I absolutely feel like more is possible. I'm thrilled that this season, I'll have Paul home – with no training or deployments on the agenda. We have a decently busy summer ahead of us, but lots of downtime and weekends to enjoy too.

Just perfect for a summer manifesto and I was so excited when Ali issued the challenge to create one. On our way home from Palm Springs, Paul and I jotted one down.

Ready, set, go, Summer. We're excited for you.

font used in the graphic above is bebas. I added the circles and arrow with my wacom tablet.

    Elise,
I LOVE the graphic you developed for this! The concept is essentially the same as our Family Summer Bucket List (a bunch of stuff we want to do together before the end of the summer) but your presentation is so much better than the standard bulleted list that I created [lame]. Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for me 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!

Sounds like an awesome manifesto. Love the idea of reading a book together and sleeping with the windows open!

The kids and I are sitting down to write ours tomorrow during Sunday breakfast. Love yours! Borrowing the “see fireworks” and adding “NOT related to 4th of July!”

I love this idea! I got it off Ali’s blog a couple of weeks ago. It’s winter here in Australia, but I decided to do a winter manifesto instead. Such a fun idea to make the most of the season your in!

Love this. My neighbors and I used to sit at the kitchen table and get that realllly long printer paper (the one where every page was attached and had the holes punched along each side that you could rip off) and crayons and make a summer to do list. Maybe that’ll be the first thing I do when I move into my new house. I think it would be good karma to start off with.
