Including our current apartment. I loved it. I love it. And it changed a lot over the past 16-ish months. I decided to make a small book to share photos of the space. I didn’t take any new ones for this at all, just went through my iPhoto archives and flickr stream to find ones I had taken in the past.

I used Blurb because I wanted to try out the service and I wanted something small and simple. This book is 7×7 and I used the easiest drag and drop option. Nothing custom went on these pages. Just my photos. And then their font options for the spine and first page.

I don’t think it gets simplier than that – and it’s so fun to see photos of all the stages our apartment went through. It’s a nice reminder that I can take my time in our next place.

    Hi Elise,
I played with the idea to make a book about my first house. I think you gave me the last push to create my own little book.
    Thank you!

Insanely awesome idea. I never take pictures of our space (except for when I did the “This is Home” mini last year). This will be such a cool thing considering you guys will be moving so much over Paul’s career. Great idea! And so stinking simple, too.

Great project! I completed something similar from my last apartment in Washington and am now taking pix for my new place in san Diego. Love it! I really wish I would’ve done that in all the places I’ve lived.

I love the book………. and the place looks so homey. I like to live in the one place and when we had to move for a couple of years I always knew it wasn’t home so didn’t really make it home (until we went back home). I love how you are able to make a life and home and document your time there. That is a great gift and will provide lots of memories each time you move as you no doubt will be moving a lot with the military. I love your book. Good luck with your move

What a great idea! You always think that you’ll never forget details like these, when in reality, years later, things start to run together and you can’t remember which house had which pictures or which sofa went where.

This is beautiful, I love it! I was just telling a friend last week that my new goal is to make sure I document where my boyfriend and I live (we’re renters, too) with lots of photo tours and a video tour…and now I’m thinking that I need to not just keep a set of photos on flickr for each home, but make a book!
    Thank you for sharing this!

Thanks so much for sharing this! Seeing your book inspired me to finally get started on a book of pictures I took in Mexico. My grandfather is from there and couldn’t travel to visit so I’m putting together the book for him. Thanks again! It’s beautiful!
