Including our current apartment. I loved it. I love it. And it changed a lot over the past 16-ish months. I decided to make a small book to share photos of the space. I didn’t take any new ones for this at all, just went through my iPhoto archives and flickr stream to find ones I had taken in the past.

I used Blurb because I wanted to try out the service and I wanted something small and simple. This book is 7×7 and I used the easiest drag and drop option. Nothing custom went on these pages. Just my photos. And then their font options for the spine and first page.

I don’t think it gets simplier than that – and it’s so fun to see photos of all the stages our apartment went through. It’s a nice reminder that I can take my time in our next place.

By the way, I wanted to let you know that I made a fall wreath (more a Jalloween wreath, in my case) following your instructions. You can see a picture (with a link to your blog) here : http://petitabricot.wordpress.com/2011/10/27/la-tournee-des-poubelles-decorations-dhalloween/
    The text in French though.

This is such a great idea! After living in five places in four years, I wish that I have been documenting our moves. I just may have to start now!
Your photos are beautiful – I love seeing all of your home shots in one place. Colours = perfection.

This is perfect! Your first space as a married couple is worth documenting. My Mom often talks about how she and my Dad made theirs cool and comfortable, both with crafty projects. I wish they had photos to show us, but film was cost prohibitive on a young budget.

I made a book for my mom’s 50th birthday this summer with Blurb. It’s amazing how all those old photos look once you get them on some glossy paper and bound 🙂 Love this idea!

Oh! I love that idea. We recently moved and the previous home was the longest I have ever lived in a house so it does call for documentation.

Super cool, Elise! Love seeing the transitions in your space, all in one book. Especially how it changes for the seasons. Hmmm, good project idea for next year, now that I have a dSLR 🙂 Happy to hear blurb produced a good product. I plan to use them to make a simple book about my Italy trip with Ali last month.

This is what I need to remember. When I move into a new place I tend to want to have things set up and just so immediately, but what you’ve done with your apartment inspires me to let the ideas come slowly and that it’s never really “finished”, and that’s the fun of it. I can’t wait to see what you do with your new place.

I’ve never had a place I’ve wanted to document (since I’m a major clutterbug), but I have tried to photograph little details about places we’ve been that I love. Super lovely book – but really, that’s because your place has so many great colors and you took such good photographs! 🙂 I don’t need to document my mess. Unless I want to scare people. 😉
