enJOY it

I am in the market for some big art to cover the walls of our new place. It's mostly going to be a mix of DIY (like this) and some prints I bought recently from 20×200. However, I want to toss a few photos on the walls too. I joked awhile back about hanging this photo above our mantle. That might be where it ends up.

I think this is one of those images where the bigger, the better. I uploaded the black and white image to officedepot.com and printed it at 24×36. I paid online and then picked up in store in about an hour. It was printed on regular copy paper, but it was THREE DOLLARS. Three bucks for big art. I framed it with an Ikea frame & mat and ta-da : an awesome family photo in a super big size.

I love it.

I love that!! You gotta have some silly in your home, definitely! The silliest part about it for me is that the first time you shared that pic, I thought “Oh wow, Elise met Russell Brand! Cool!” HA!

fantastic !! – some of your typographic treatments would also look great large & B+W. I’ve been using my local print shop to make my own poster art too.

That picture is so awesome Elise! From your hubby’s “hair” to your yes-I’m-proud-to-be-with-this-man smile…awesome!
Now I’m off to find some $3 prints myself – always thought it would be SO expensive to do, but now I know it’s totally doable!! 😉

That’s a great idea! $3 for big art can’t be beat, and the picture is awesome. Can’t wait to see it up, so that I can get a better visual on its size – it’s hard to tell from this picture that it’s big!
