My Grandma Bev passed away last night.

She lived a full, but sometimes difficult life. Before her mid-thirties, she had lost two husbands and then she raised five children on her own for the next almost 50 years. I am comforted that it was with all of these children that she finally let go. I am comforted that surely her past husbands and so many other loved ones were waiting, excited to welcome her into heaven. I am comforted that she has found peace.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for comfort and strength for you and your family. Losing my Grandmother some years ago felt so very painful that I couldn’t believe that my heart would heal, but over the years memories of her have given me strength and healing. Oh Elise! I am so sorry. I just lost my grandma a few months ago. She was all I ever wanted to be – it’s been a rough few months.
Picture me giving you the hug/support/listening ear that I could have used the past few months.

So sorry for your loss Elise, many thoughts and prayers. Ironically my grandma just passed away three days ago very unexpectedly and just the night before I was updating my autumn minibook with pictures from our most recent visit last week, I’m so glad I have my minibooks from your etsy store as documentation of much happier times….so thank you for that:-)

Thinking of you and your family at such a difficult time.
When my father died I found this incredibly comforting:
“You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
