So. I'm learning that if I don't take a lot of photos, I don't have a lot to add to this album. Funny how that works. But what I lacked in REAL photos in August, I made up in iPhone photos, so I popped a bunch of those into the book this update.

And not related, but rad : moo.com is celebrating it's 5th birthday with 25% off all printed products. I've sung their praises a million times (they've been printing my business cards for the past year) and I always try to pass on a sale. And yep, I'm an affiliate. Here's what that means.

Love this album! You’ve inspired me to start a project like this for 2012…seems so do-able to capture glimpses of the year 🙂 How do you punch the holes in the photo so that they match up perfectly?

    Coucou Elise!
Question: Does KOLO have any pages that i could insert 5″ x 7″ pictures? I took a quick peek around the site and i could not find any.
    merci!

Elise, I really enjoy the simplicity of your albums. I haven’t taken the leap and started to keep up with my photos/memories in any sort of way. But this makes me feel like I could tackle it without a problem – and in a totally cute way! I’m so glad you keep sharing about this!

    Hey Elise –
I love this album – so simple, yet totally cool b/c you’re keeping it up over the entire year. I’m using the Project Life kit this year and I don’t mind the weekly process, but I’m not loving how big the album is. Space in my condo won’t allow year after year of the PL format. And I’m also not a consistent high volume picture taker either.
Have you noticed that Kolo isn’t making the same album pages for this album? I believe the plastic sleeve doesn’t extend all the way to hole edge anymore. I’d like to use your format next year, but I’m stumped about the pages. I use scrapbookpictures.com for processing and love that they offer a close enough size for the old sleeves. Think you’ll be using this album again? If so, can’t wait to see what you devise 🙂 Ciao! (I’m going to Italy on an Ali Edwards tour in a week – can you tell I’m getting ready? 😉

I don’t think so. But they do have albums with blank pages that you could adhere larger photos to. 🙂

    hi Jill,
I’ve heard that they changed the sleeve size. Major bummer. I already found my album for next year at my local art store. It must be one of the old kolo albums because it has the same pages as the one I currently have.
Do you have a Paper Source near you? I know they sell kolo and you might be able to find one of the older ones in stock.
I might have to buy out my art store and sell them through the blog! Sort of joking… but sort of not.
    have fun in italy!

I do have a PS near me, in Mpls. I should check with them. I was just there a few weeks ago and glaced at the Kolo section, but didn’t see this album on the shelves. The search begins! I’ve got a small, local art store near me too that carries Kolo. That might be a better option. Good biz idea about re-selling – do it!

    Hi Elise.
I have found you through Kal Barteski and I want to say that your work and style is beautiful. I am very inspired to begin an album like this. I LOVE IT! I have never been into scrap-booking, but this style is simple, yet beautiful and totally up my alley.
Thank you for sharing your joy!

I love these albums you’re doing. It seems to me that this would be so much better than what I’m currently trying to catch up on for my son which is his scrapbooks. They are going to look rather boring because I just don’t have the supplies or time to sit and work on the pages anymore. Where do order the albums? And can you tell me the size you use? Do you have to get a certain filler page or is there a choice?
You definitely inspire me Elise and I thank you for that.
