introducing magic monday.

I'm starting the week off with a new feature :

MM

It was really nice to share my thoughts on "magic" last week and decided to do something concrete to embrace the word for the rest of the year. So every Monday from now until the start of 2012, I'll share something magical that happened the week before. Something that just felt good. Something that made me happy. Something big or small. Something magic.

You are more than welcome to share in the comments something magical that happened to you in the past week or link up to your own blog post on the topic.

I'm hoping that looking for magic in my daily life will help keep me positive. And I also think that magic breeds magic. So the more you celebrate it, the more you are likely to find.

Last week, I found magic in the form of a pair of pants on the clearance rack at Banana Republic. Normally their pants are semi-tragic on me. But these fit and they were a perfect ankle length (which is hard to find when you're 5'3"). And I liked the pockets on the front. And I didn't already have pants the same color. That stuff alone is pretty magical. But what's better? They were orginally $89 and were marked down to $19. But what's best? It was "take 40% off sale" day. So I got 'em for $12.

I felt pretty good walking out of the store with that deal. Magic.

    Awesome score!
    I love your word choice for 2011. This is my first year in OLW and I chose balance. Love Ali’s classes!
    When my kids were young; a little girl they were playing with said when she was coloring – she was making magic. I thought that was so adorable. As the color appeared on the paper with her crayon “wand” she would get all excited that it was magic and appearing before her eyes. Art is magic isn’t it?

    love this idea! my piece of magin was my one month old sleeping for 6 straight hours, eating then going back to sleep for 4 more hours. magical.

    Awesome – I was at Banana Republic this weekend as well. I love when they have the 40% I purchased a new shirt I wear to my marketing meeting tomorrow – which was also pretty magicial.

    haha. that’s great! my husband would be so proud of you, he’s such a deal guy, like to the extreme. 🙂
    my magic moment this last week was when I came up with the idea to move our 1 1/2 year old out of our room and to the kitchen. There is plenty of space for him and now we all sleep better! This was magic idea and a magic move for sure.

    Yay! I bought those too on clearance! They are a little longer on me because I’m more in the 5 even range but I love them AND they don’t gap in the waist, I always have that problem…snug in hips big in waist.
    Also walked away with an army green silky lined skirt that is a mini skirt on regular people but right to my knees..Im’ thinking with thick tights for fall and a bright top. lol. Oh the little things that excite me (and it was $11!!!)
