I am safe in Winnipeg and soaking up life with Kal.
The house is rad, the kids are adorable (example a : storytime / example b : at least one of these two are coming home in my suitcase), Dan is funny and the whole situation is far from awkward. (Although the Canadian customs folks were more than a little concerned that we met on the internet.)
But the coolest part is the art and the talk. My mind is already buzzing and it's been less than a day.

So glad you’re having fun! We Canadians are pretty hospitable 😉 I met my husband through a friend, but technically on the internet. He’s a big burly “Mexican” who looks like he could be Arab, and when he came to Canada to visit me for the first time the customs people really didn’t like the fact that we had met on the internet (even though we had already met in person!). Thankfully, the customs people don’t always know what’s best for you. We’re going on 3 years of blissful marriage 😀

Good to know about customs. Will definitely skip the internet part if I ever visit any internet friends there. 😉
So excited that you two get to meet and it’s going so well. My sister visited me after I had my first child and she went home thinking “uh, kids… yeah, those are a lot more work than I thought!” I’m sure that won’t happen to you.
