I love the sunflower. Here in the Philippines, summer has been mostly rainy and cold.
Thanks for sharing these photos. 🙂

will you be selling the mini-book covers, just the covers, this year? your videos have inspired me to use up some of the pretty paper i’ve been hoarding.

SO-I got your PDF on mini-books and LOVED it. I’ve made three in two days. One for my son to fill up, one that’s for a high school friend who’s moving and one for my niece who’s turning seven. I’m in love with the process. I’m ordering the summer 2011 book, but I’m curious–how did you go about choosing the specific pages in the book? They are so bright and inviting…but don’t necessarily follow just one color pallet. Do you just pick what you love or use what you have? What makes you use “printed” pages on one book and mostly solids on another? Do you just “see” it in your mind? Are you inspired by clothing, fabric, magazines, paint chips, a color wheel? I’d love to get inside that artsy brain of yours! 😉 Thanks for the inspiration.

The summer book is just a mix of bright colors thar seemed summer to me. When I make books to sell, I have to consider paper cost and availability and that helps dictate colors. For my own books, I just do whatever feels good. Im inspired by everything!
