Check plus for February.

Lots of sewing, lots of running (46 miles – 15.5 outside), lots of projects. I got my 2011 book started, my 25@25 book finished and our bedroom decorated. And the blog design workshop is progressing. It's happening. For sure. And after much thought, I decided it will be for Typepad users exclusively because it is what I know best and feel most comfortable teaching. I talked to Typepad to be sure it was good to run the class. They were awesome and even created a discount code for students who will be starting memberships with Typepad because of the class. More info to come later this month.

I did not get trips booked for when Paul deploys, but that is because he hasn't gotten his orders yet so dates are still up in the air. Hopefully, I will be able to get that taken care of this month.

GOALS for March are all business related. To be honest, February was great blog-wise but not great cash inflow wise. I need to turn some ideas into a positive paypal balance. SO … This month I will : get the blog workshop open for registration, launch a spring minibook kit (hopefully this Thursday – above is a color scheme peek) & work photo prints into the etsy shop (EDIT – check that off the list. photo prints now in the shop.)

Oh, and ONE PERSONAL GOAL : I will use my pre-paid living social coupon for five yoga classes.

MARCH. Let's roll. Let's get to work. Let's stretch. Here we go.

Totally random question: you are so productive during the day, do you listen to music while you work or do you work best in peace and quiet? I would love to hear about a day in the life of elise? Im on my 2nd week as a stay at home mom and I have a three hr chunk with no kids at home but I still feel cramped for time. How do you get so much done during your day? I know you arent a stay at home momma but and that makes a difference but still you do a lot during your day….

Congrats on an amazing month! This is probably answered on your Etsy page, but how much are specialty mini books. Or maybe this could be an idea for a mini book for you to have in your inventory. I’m having a baby soon and I’m horrible with the “traditional” scrap books, but a mini book is totally something I could do.

I have done a custom minibook for a baby before … I think I charged about $40. I am always open to making custom books and prices for 25-30 pages and 4×6 start at $30. Just email me! 🙂

I will definitely try to get a day in the life post up soon. I am sort of obsessed with producitivy and cutting time down on projects … so that helps a lot. Look for a post like this next week. Thanks for the idea! e

I have been lurking as a huge fan for a while 🙂 I gotta ask-is your hubby Navy? Navy wife, here! I understand not knowing anything concrete about something so big is so frustrating. Can’t wait to see what is coming!

I’ve long followed your blog and I love it! I should comment more but im probably awkwardly shy and worried I will sound silly. However, I wanted to say how excited I am for the workshop and am often inspired by your dedication and fun spirit!

I’m not really interested in changing over to Typepad right now – any chance you might do a short PDF of blog tips for download post-workshop? I’m not sure what the workshop is going to be like so that might not be possible but I’m sure you’ve got some good info that transfers to other blog platforms!

I would love to see your interpretation of this (http://americancrafts.typepad.com/studio/2011/02/element-monogram-tutorial-by-jen-jockisch.html) as one of your projects. I came across it recently and I would love to see your spin…

sounds like you had a very productive month, congrats! looking forward to seeing what March brings you. wondering if you’ll put together a small 6X6 book of your projects? it might be a great way to document you 26th year.

    Hi Elise.
I am so excited that the class will be for TypePad users since I just decided that will be my future blog home. Is there anyway that I can be put on an email list for when the sign up will be? I do read your blog lots but when work takes over…blog time goes down and I don’t want to miss signing up. Love your inspiration and the spring book is so perfect. Heading to the shop to pick one up!
