No, I did no prep work on the dresser except a windex swipe… so far so good though. It took two thick coats to cover. Good luck with yours!!!

I was pondering painting the old dresser in our bedroom as well.. I was debating over charcoal grey or turquoise (or doing the drawers dark turquoise and the rest charcoal grey (a bit darker than yours)… I think Turquoise is winning.
Are you changing the hardware, too?

LOVE that color! I have a dresser that I’ve had for 10 years and was an ebay purchase then. it’s solid wood and I’ve been wanting to paint it but I kept thinking white. Now you’ve got me thinking otherwise!

This is almost the shade of turquoise we used for our dresser, door, table … love turquoise!

I’m curious, are you using a roller brush, paint brush or spray painting it? I can’t see any brush strokes on your dresser and it looks great. Just for future “good to know” ideas. =)LikeLike

paint brushes and we were careful to go the same direction plus we used two coats.
