I saw this post at Oh Happy Day on Monday and loved it. Jordan made big dream statements and three years later is almost there. OH MAN, HOW COOL. Paul and I have been talking a lot about our own BIG LIST recently and I jotted our main items down. It will take a bit more than three years to get them tackled though – in fact, ours will probably take a lifetime.

Oh, twenty-eleven, you've been a bit nutty on the dream and goal front. It's rad though. Positive energy is good. Long discussions over wine and lists made with Sharpies are great.

My husband and I want to build our own home, too! We talk all the time about our “new house.” How it will have this and that 😉 We love going to open houses to see how people live in their homes to get inspirations and ideas. And we spend lots of dinner table time talking about our future life – which is fun in and of itself!

We are totally the types to build a home too. We watch HGTV all the time and we can just tell how pick we would be. We’re very particular! Great goals-good luck!

Ha! I saw Jordan’s list the other day, too, loved it, and immediately made one of my own (totally copied her paint chip idea, too!) I want to hear more about you guys making wine!

I love your pictures! My husband and I need more pictures of us together, without the kids. Just us.

My boyfriend and I recently had a similar, but much shorter-term, conversation and made a list of our “must dos” in California while we live out here – in fun sharpie colors! Your list looks great and I have no doubt you’ll achieve those three goals – I hope you keep us updated here along the way!

I realise this is a little bit off topic but is Paul really cold? He looks a bit like he is bracing himself against the weather.
This is another inspiring post Elise. Thanks for sharing!

My boyfriend suffers with the same problem. He takes a little warming up to photos (if youll pardon the pun) but eventually gets into it. I have some of us where he looks hes not all at impressed with whats going on! Poor boys. The things we put them through!

My husband and I scratched out our 5 yr plan on a cutoff from a 2×6 used while building our deck. We dubbed it the triangle of life. Good luck with your dreams!

Great goals! I think we would be happy to just OWN a home in this lifetime. Feels like a pipe dream in Los Angeles.

As a fellow wine lover, I recommend that if you ever end up stationed in the Virginia area, you should check out Vint Hill Winery. You get to craft your own wine!

I would love to do the same thing one day so hopefully I do that below my fiancee ends up stationed somewhere else.
