I don’t normally buy fabric, so I don’t have any scraps laying around necessarily. BUT, I would love to make this! Do you have any idea…ballpark…as to how much fabric I would need to buy for this? I’d imagine just getting small amounts of cool patterns.
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. Looks like fun!LikeLike

yeah, I would just get a 1/4 yard of some fun patterns. I didnt count how much it took – but more than I was expecting. Ribbon will work too!

Perfect! Fabric projects are totally foreign to me. I’m hoping this will break me out of my shell. Ribbon is a good idea. Thank you. 🙂

so inspired by this … I might make a fall colors wreath for a friend for christmas … but what I lept into right away was stringing red, white, and green fabric on some clothesline I had and making a garland for my living room. I’m only about a quarter done with it, but I love it already. I have a giant tub of scraps and I have been looking for a way to destash. some of the fabric I pinked, some I cut, and a lot of it I ripped. The messy edges just add to the effect I think.
This is just the ticket! GENIUS!LikeLike

fabulous!!! I saw it on elsie’s blog and finally had a project to use up all the cute fabric pieces I feel guilty for throwing out. I made a very fabulous autumn wreath and just love it. I feel the need to move on to make one for every season. Yay!!!

Hey Elise, My girlfriends and I got together a few nights ago and made these wreaths. What a fun project….cheap and easy! My one-perfectionist friend had trouble messing her wreath up–but it looked amazing once she committed. Who knew she could tie the knots and flatten them in a perfect row!?? Thanks for posting and encouraging our creativity!
